The Financial Analyst plays a crucial part within the Supply Chain Finance team at Driscolls, providing comprehensive financial analysis to optimize packaging operations and support procurement strategies. This individual is responsible for tracking and forecasting packaging costs, ensuring accurate cost allocation, and identifying opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements across the supply chain. The analyst assesses the impact of supply strategies and operational efficiencies on profitability by conducting in-depth financial analyses, driving performance improvements, and risk mitigation. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Sales, to align financial strategies with business objectives, enhance cost visibility, and support data-informed decision-making. Additionally, the analyst contributes to long-term packaging strategies, month-end close activities, and financial planning processes. They also play an integral role in streamlining packaging financial reporting and supporting system enhancements to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across Driscolls packaging network. The position reports directly to the Supply Chain Finance Manager to support functional deliverables.
Responsibilities Create and manage the Enterprise Packaging Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and periodic forecasting, incorporating intricate rate structures with a diverse set of variables, while overseeing a sophisticated system for tracking packaging issuance and cost recovery across multiple countries, ensuring accurate allocation and compliance with regional requirements.
Analyze large, complex, and dynamic datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights, ensuring data accuracy and relevance in a rapidly evolving environment.
Develop, refine, and enhance visual data representations, communicating financial results and delivering in-depth variance analysis to equip managers with actionable insights and improve operational efficiency.
Apply a cost accounting mindset to analyze packaging costs, including direct, indirect, and overhead components, while partnering with Operations on cost reduction initiatives.
Support month-end close activities, perform variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual, YoY trends), and update management reporting decks with key financial insights.
Assist in the development and tracking of the annual capital budget for packaging operations and conduct financial analyses, including NPV evaluations, for capital investment decisions. Monitor capital project performance post-execution and ensure oversight, reporting, and governance of capital requisitions and projects to maintain healthy cash flow, ROI, and budgetary discipline.
Partner with Procurement and Supply Operations to enhance packaging-related technical platforms and identify opportunities to improve processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive automation with the end goal of executing effective procurement to support our packaging supply strategy.
Support long-term strategic initiatives by evaluating financial impacts of strategic investments and operational changes and align financial strategies with overall packaging objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster alignment and build consensus, focusing on cost control through continuous process improvements.
Manage and prioritize competing responsibilities to assess risks effectively and guide sound business decisions in a dynamic environment.
Design and deliver ad hoc analysis, reports, and metrics to address emerging business needs, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
Minimum of 3+ years in accounting, financial analysis, and planning.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships, earn trust, and work effectively as a team player. Capable of working cross-functionally across the organization.
Organizational & Time Management: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines efficiently. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities. Proficient in identifying and analyzing complex issues, focusing on relevant information, and utilizing key role-specific metrics.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills with a strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making aptitude.
Accounting & Financial Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting policies and standards, along with experience in financial analysis and planning.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced experience with Tableau or similar applications is preferred advanced technical skills, including integrating resources and managing projects to completion with a results-driven approach. Familiarity with Hyperion reporting is a plus.
Flexibility & Travel: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends. Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally.
English Required, Spanish is a plus.

The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.
Salary Range estimated for the Financial Analyst: $85,000 to $110,000 USD.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The BI Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a combination of analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and business acumen to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other business metrics to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Business Insights and Strategy Support:
- Work closely with business stakeholders (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Provide data-driven recommendations that support business strategies, process improvements, and performance enhancements.
- Assist in the identification of business opportunities and potential risks based on data analysis.
Data Visualization:
- Create intuitive and visually appealing reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data insights.
- Use visual storytelling techniques to make complex data easy to understand for non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure data is being captured, processed, and reported according to business needs.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data quality and integrity across platforms.
- Present findings, recommendations, and data analysis results to executives and other key decision-makers.
Continuous Improvement :
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging BI tools/technologies to continually improve data analysis capabilities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting methodologies, and system efficiencies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-4 years) as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role in data analysis.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience with SQL and data query languages for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
- Experience in the fresh produce industry is a bonus.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Business acumen and understanding of key business processes.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of advanced Excel functions and data manipulation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Packaging Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing packaging inventory systems and vendor audits, ensuring accurate reconciliation of materials, and providing support to internal departments such as Finance, Food Safety, and Grower Accounting. The role involves data entry, systems reporting, variance analysis, and compliance documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage CHEP, IFCO, and Tosca accounts:
- Run weekly EDI reports and release transactions.
- Reconcile monthly balances to physical inventory.
- Conduct, reconcile, and close annual audits.
- Issue weekly field packaging inventory in FAMOUS system.
- Perform Church Brothers Field Packaging month-end reconciliation :
- Collect field and carton yard inventory.
- Compare physical counts to book value.
- Investigate and resolve variances.
- Submit final report to Finance .
Customer & Internal Support
- Complete customer packaging requests via portals/forms using the internal Packaging Database.
- Process Food Safety Program (FSP) requests using the Recipe Database to maintain up-to-date packaging specifications.
- Maintain Cost Per Pack files for Grower Accounting, updating pricing as directed.
- Update loaded cost sheets in Grower Accounting based on the latest recipe data.
- Participate in packaging process improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAININGS
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Experience with packaging systems (CHEP, IFCO, Tosca) and agricultural/food manufacturing inventory is preferred.
- Working knowledge of FAMOUS or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, databases, and report generation.
