Job Description

In this role you will support Fortune Brands Innovations Outdoors Business Unit achieve its strategic goals by assisting with the analysis of trends in sales, finance, and other areas for the business. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Finance Manager and Sales Leadership to understand business results and future needs of the business.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of our Maumee, OH (Toledo area) office. Candidates should be able to come into the office the first few weeks for training and then thereafter for in person meetings as needed throughout the year. The ideal candidate would live within a 2 hour radius of the Toledo, OH area.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Develop an understanding of the market and customer trends in order to add value to the business unit through thoughtful and well communicated analysis.
  • Analyze sales trends by region and customer to provide insights around performance vs. plan and forecast with detailed variance analysis.
  • Manage and continuously improve down channel reporting received from external customers, ensuring we fully leveraged to provide proactive actionable insights to sales leadership.
  • Track new product financials and assist in the StageGate process by working cross-functionally in developing P&Ls
  • Responsible for pulling together key financial analysis within the business unit on customer and product performance.
  • Assist Finance Manager in preparing monthly and ad-hoc presentations for sales leadership team.
  • Additional projects as assigned
Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 1-3+ years of experience working in Accounting, Finance, or related analysis experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting

The Senior Accounting & Reporting Financial Analyst is part of the US ACM Finance Team. This role will be responsible for the coordination of reporting and analysis process improvement, lead the standardization of financial operating processes and procedures and support the transition from IFRS to US GAAP/SOX reporting standards.

This is a hybrid role based at our regional corporate office in Dundee, MI.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • US GAAP/SOX Compliance - Continually provide support to the finance team as we transition from IFRS to US GAAP/SOX compliance. Lead the development of tools and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including liaising with corporate and regional functions
  • Process Improvement - Work with stakeholders both within the US ACM finance organization and other key areas to improve processes around financial reporting and analysis
  • Standardization - Work with the US ACM team and other support functions to standardize financial operating processes and procedures across our footprint
