Financial Analyst - Contract TO HIRE- $30-32/hour
Job Summary:
This role reports to the Grant Administrator to perform a variety of financial transactions, monitoring, and analysis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other departments while modeling and utilizing excellent project management and critical thinking skills to continuously improve service delivery. The Financial Analyst is expected to have strong analytical and financial skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The incumbent is responsible for executing the duties and responsibilities listed below and all other duties as assigned. Essential Duties % of Time is as follows:
Conducts the financial transactions for a non-profit organization, including payroll, bank reconciliation, 990 prep, and financial reporting. If applicable, remediate issues or recommendations identified by external audits. 25%
Prepares and processes entries and forms related to accounts receivable, revenue, and expense management. Creates and analyzes Division-level financial transactions, projections, and reports. 15%
Identifies appropriate fund sources and funding availability for transactions. Monitors transactions for compliance with funding source requirements. 15%
Processes Procurement Card and expense report transactions. Validate transactions are compliant with Policy, budget availability, and financial stewardship. Develop reporting tools to trend and analyze expenses. 10%
Assists and participates in the annual budget process for a non-profit; monitors budget to actual balances. 10%
Develops performance measures and tracking tools for new and existing initiatives and programs; ensures that program data is captured, reported, and analyzed accurately to track performance. 10%
Prepares grant budgets, reports, expense reimbursement, and monitors all grant transactions for eligibility. 5%

Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
Experience:
At least three (3) years of experience in an accounting or finance position
Preferences:
CPA is preferred, but not required

Overview:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for the examination of financial information in order to make sound recommendations to SVPs, Regional Directors and Restaurant Management teams on how to achieve higher restaurant profitability.
Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Under the direction of the Manager of Operations Analysis this role will partner with operational leadership to develop best practices that will drive higher restaurant profitability
- Assist restaurant managers in the development, implementation and monitoring of plans that improve restaurant earnings. This includes using a wide variety of technology and tools to prepare reports and provide detailed analysis
- Favorably impact restaurant performance by being a strategic business partner with SVP, Regional Directors and Restaurant Management teams
- Participate in Regional, General Manager and Culinary Manager Meetings providing analysis that recognizes both successes and opportunities. Highlight emerging trends and their impact so action is prioritized appropriately
- Conduct a variety of complex analyses and resolution of cost issues based on current industry standards
- Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods and targets, and assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities
- Provide ongoing management consulting on the use and interpretation of analyses, reports, methodologies, systems and source data, acting as a significant information resource
- Proactively identify discrepancies in data, determine cause and communicate questions / adjustments to appropriate departments
- Initiate follow-up and planning phone meetings with Senior Restaurant Management and General Managers to analyze prior week's / prior months performance and discuss expectations for the next period
- Plan scheduled restaurant visits with emphasis on proactively identifying opportunities and developing plans for improvement
- Assist Manager of Operations and SVP in creating Budgets and Business Plan targets, G&A budgets and New Restaurant Pre-Opening budgets
- Work with Training, Information Technology, SVP and Restaurant Management to successfully implement new technology initiatives to be rolled out to the restaurants
- Provide reports, analysis and participate in special projects as requested by the Director of Operations Analysis
- Perform select restaurant financial audits. Provide coaching and follow up to ensure all areas meet acceptable compliance standards
Qualifications:

General Summary: Prepares forecasts and insightful analysis of trends in AR aging, bad debt and penalty revenues. Leads and supervise the maintenance and update of complex financial forecast models giving insight into AR aging, bad debt, penalty revenue, and various operating expenses that give senior leadership the ability to make strategic decisions. Supervises the production of timely standardized metrics/reports to support management decision. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the production of timely and accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics/reports that give leadership insight to delinquencies, bad debt, and penalty revenue.
- Prepares forecasts and insightful analysis of to identify trends in AR aging, bad debt and penalty revenues and present findings to senior management.
- Creates models for the analysis and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reports against forecast and budget.
- Leads and supervise the maintenance and update of complex financial models that forecast bad debt, penalty revenue and other operating expenses.
- Independently conduct special projects and coordinates with other departments in the monitoring, reporting and control of macroenvironmental risk factors that drive bad debt.
- Works with Accounting to record month end accruals for month close process.
- Coordinate with key internal stakeholders throughout the company to determine appropriate modeling assumptions and structuring for bad debt.
- Leads the process of gathering, analyzing, preparing, and summarizing recommendations for bad debt optimization and drivers of bad debt including attrition, pricing, operational processes, etc.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests by management.
- Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy
Education and Experience Requirement:
- Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting or economics from an accredited college or university, strongly preferred. A masters degree a plus.
- Minimum of 4 to 7 years of related experience to include but not limited to; accounting, financial forecasting, or financial analysis.
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of SAP and Power BI a plus

Overview:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for revenue and cost analysis for all regions of our company. This position is responsible for assisting with regular financial reporting deliverables as well as business support. The individual will also support initiatives to improve financial processes and procedures, as well as participate in special projects as needed.
Responsibilities include
- Support the Finance team on all financial analysis and reporting, including month close production activities / KPI reporting, quarter close activities and forecasting.
- Support the Finance team in the development of analytics and management information, which enables the business to track strategic initiatives.
- Work with the Finance team to prepare quarterly financial reporting deliverables, to outline the performance of the business compared to relevant periods and projections.
- Support the annual and quarterly Strategic Planning process by helping to gather input from the business teams and compiling the projected results to be shared with the Business.
- Support in any finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in other special projects and/or coordination efforts
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with at least 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High level of financial statement analysis experience
- Experience in finance services industry, specifically insurance
- Experience in forecasting and modelling and knowledge of business performance metrics
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SAP a plus.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks to meet competing deadlines.
- Ability to work without close supervision and to take decisions autonomously, subject to verification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience within complex, global organizations and virtual teams.
- Collaborative, customer focused, flexible, persistent, and results-oriented mindset.
- International work experience a plus.

Position Overview:Under minimal direction, the Financial Analyst coordinates and monitors various financial activities and procedures to effectively manage budgets, programs, and services. Collaborates with the Budget Management team to oversee the administration and operation of the Annual Budget process, Budget Priorities, Policies & Strategies. Proficient in analyzing financial data, providing variance analysis and reports, reviewing financial materials, and making recommendations. Generates and oversees various budget and financial reports as requested by senior management and leadership.
Job Duties:- Review and approve requests submitted through the Pre-Purchasing Application (PPA System) for all funds.
- Track spending for Capital Improvements Program (CIP), including creating Projects in Peoplesoft.
- Coordinate with Directors and Project Managers to complete documentation for CIP requests.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc financial reports, tools, apps, and dashboards.
- Produce monthly reports for directors, including key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis.
- Support Budget Management Director with budget-related tasks such as Budget Transfers, maintaining Department Fund Accounts, Budget Entry & Annual Budget.
- Perform ad hoc reports as requested by senior and executive management.
- Assist in annual budgeting and planning processes.
- Perform other responsibilities and projects as needed.
Requirements:

Experience: Minimum five (5) years of financial analyst experience required.
