Position Summary:
As a FinancialAnalyst at CEG, youll play a critical role in driving strategic decision-making by consolidating, analyzing, and interpreting key business and financial data across all units. Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate and review weekly flash reports and cash forecasts from all business units.
- Consolidate, review, and analyze monthly financial reporting, identifying key trends and variances.
- Perform sales and order analysis by channel, business unit, and product line.
- Operational Collaboration:
- Partner with Controllers to review and refine cost rates and cost structures.
- Collaborate across business units to ensure alignment on financial performance and reporting standards.
- Capital Expenditure Management:
- Lead the CapEx analysis and reporting process, providing detailed evaluations of capital projects and tracking ongoing investments.
- Profitability & Pricing:
- Conduct margin analysis at the product and category level.
- Identify pricing opportunities and recommend changes to enhance profitability.
- Cross-Functional Support:
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across all CEG business units to ensure consistent, high-quality data and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role (manufacturing experience preferred).
- Strong proficiency with financial systems and tools (Excel, ERP systems, Power BI or similar analytics platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate, interpret, and present complex financial data.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

The Opportunity
This Financial Analyst position works out of our Maple Grove, MN location in the Medical Devices Division. Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders.
We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Financial Analyst, supporting the Global Clinical Affairs organization. This position will focus on Finance tasks related to Direct Study planning and analysis. This includes Monthly Variance and Planning Cycle reporting and analysis, month end journal entries and accruals, and assisting Clinical staff with all required finance tasks. We have a diverse group with varying skill sets that require direct guidance, support and monitoring. This role will also conduct financial planning, analysis and reporting activities for the assigned studies and operating expenses. This role will provide input to leadership to reach expense targets and achieve annual operating plan commitments.
What You'll Work On
Responsible for financial and economic analysis and forecasting and for evaluating alternate financial plans.
- Coordination of Global Clinical Studies Plan, LBE, and Month end processes including creation and distribution of planning assumptions for all Clinical Studies worldwide. This requires extensive interface and coordination with each Medical Device Division Business Unit (BU), as well as interacting directly with key local accounting groups and global clinical staff and leaders.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of the financial plans.
- Responsible for the month end close tasks including accruals for ongoing expenses as incurred for various cost centers in many geographies throughout Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan.
- Prepares and analyzes actual operating results compared to plan and forecast and verifies, investigates and quantifies variances and their impact. Provides month end analysis and commentary related to the financial close cycle.
- Assist with file maintenance and roll forward process monthly and quarterly based on LBE calendar.
- Provides standard reports to management due to solid knowledge of finance systems and familiarity of the entity operations.
- Complete and execute various data validation and review processes to ensure financial information is accurately captured.
- Prepare in-depth evaluations of plans and identify new methods of analysis and presentation.
- Responds to ad hoc financial requests and special projects as assigned by finance management.
- Key contributor to the financial planning processes.
- Executes annual goals as assigned based on entity/ies operating plans and department needs.
- Results from the incumbent's work are submitted directly to MDD Business Unit finance leadership to be used in consolidating MDD Business Unit financial plans.
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors' Degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)

- Experience in a medical device industry preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
The typical annual/hourly base pay range for this role is between $65,200 - $5,900. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. The Financial Analyst drives system level operational improvement with detailed financial planning, reporting, data analysis, and presentation. The Financial Analyst extracts and validates data from various information sources and proactively provides relevant, timely and actionable information and recommendations to assist management in operational improvement.
**Job Expectations:**
Prepare expense analysis that highlight trends or issues in achieving plan.
Assist management in the development of operational improvement plans. Monitor, measure and communicate the impact of action plans and improvement initiatives.
Anticipate reporting and data requirements before they are requested by leaders.
Partner with select leaders to forecast and plan operating expenses.
Provide leaders with the tools and insight to meet or exceed plan targets.

Monitor system compliance to assure the integrity of Fairview's system of internal control is maintained.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**
