Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate monthly financial packages for management and provide value-added analysis/commentary of portfolio P&L performance
- Understand each business units financial statements through reviewing of variances analysis provided from business unit finance leads, and summarizing root causes at portfolio level, then reporting findings in a concise manner
- Review of business unit cash and balance sheets to ensure adherence of working capital metrics/targets
- Coordinate and prepare customer invoices and assist in the monthly reconciliation of key billing and AR related accounts for head office (i.e., work in progress, AR, deferred revenue).
- Assist in workforce management by keeping track of headcount movements and departmental allocation, and coordinate staff expense reimbursement
- Compile quarterly disclosure packages ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial statement note disclosures from business units
- Creation/review of monthly checks to ensure unwavering accuracy and compliance of subledgers and books to IFRS
- Review other monthly key metric deliverables from the business units including but not limited to attrition analysis, organic growth, recurring revenue tracker, and average price increases tracker
- Own the forecast roll up process for the portfolio, presenting forecast over forecast changes as well as challenging forecast assumptions from business unit finance leads
- Assist with and facilitate the preparation of interim and year-end working papers for accounting and tax audit
Business Unit Finance Support & Ad hoc
- Continuously work with business units to ensure accounting policy and internal control adherence, mitigating financial & reporting risks
- Build relationships with and providing excellent customer service to the business unit teams, with finance and outside of finance where applicable Collaborate seamlessly with head office, internal and external auditors during interim reviews and year-end audits to gather and present accurate supporting documents
- Find efficiencies on current reporting processes to ensure concise reporting and automating reports where inefficiencies are identified
- Take on ad-hoc financial reporting as requested such as target subject deep dives and provide meaningful insights and define key risk or improvement areas
- Assist with pre and post-acquisition reporting such as helping new acquisitions stand up their reporting infrastructure, as well as as doing sample testing as part of due diligence for prospective acquisitions, on a rapidly growing portfolio
- Coaching other finance team members and explaining accounting concepts as needed
Qualifications and required skills
- Business/Finance/Accounting degree (i.e. BBA, Comm. etc.), and completion of an accounting designation preferable (CPA)
- 3+ years of progressive advancement in an accounting or finance role in a fast paced environment
- Advanced excel skills with the ability to efficiently handle large data sets and concisely present and summarize for management review
- Proactive attitude, and analytical thinker who is able to drive business initiatives end to end
- Experience with Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics, and SAP BPC accounting software an asset
- Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and applicable accounting systems; knowledge of Microsoft Navision a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, conveying a positive, collaborative, and professional image toward peers, management, customers, and vendors

Join a team of commercial finance professionals to drive finance decisions within Zurn Elkay. You will play a key role in managing financial performance and implementing financial strategies to achieve business objectives. You will support business partners thru budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting. This position will be based in our Milwaukee, WI Headquarters.
Key Accountabilities
Compile, track, analyze information to evaluate achievement of key operational and strategic objectives, as well as to monitor the overall financial and operating health/performance of the business.
Develop, maintain, and distribute integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and financial models to support business analysis and decision-making.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis/special projects to assist management in understanding business performance and support strategic initiatives.
Assist with the annual strategic planning and budgeting financial process. This includes collaborations with business leaders, data collection & consolidation process with FP&A resources and functional leadership and validating for completeness and accuracy.
Develop new tools in order to drive scalable analysis and insight.
Perform month-end closing duties as assigned (journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.)
Compile sales bowlers for Commercial leadership and support countermeasures, as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
2 - 3+ years of accounting/finance experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and particularly strong Excel skills involving pivot tables, dynamic formulas.
Previous experience in Tableau is a plus.
Previous experience with ERP systems and consolidations systems OneStream software is a plus
Strong ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Excellent organizational, planning, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner
Strong problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks

What You Will Contribute:
The Sr. Financial Analyst is a key contributor to the planning, forecasting and analysis function within the Finance team. You will work with all disciplines within the Accounting group as well as senior management, commercial teams and operational teams. You must be detail orientated and have strong written and oral communication skills. You must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Job Duties:
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close process with an emphasis on data analysis, while providing audit support to internal and external audit groups during the closing process.
- Provide variance analysis on internal financial information (purchase price, order close, overhead and market value related variances; product costs; and inventory changes).
- Take responsibility for coordinating the manufacturing plan, working with management to develop allocations for the annual financial plan.
- Analyze annual product cost changes and new product costs providing support to internal customers identifying problem areas and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- 5+ years of related experience in accounting or finance in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
- Intermediate experience with AS400 or other ERP system required
- Intermediate knowledge in MicroStrategy preferred
