The Secondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher (grades 6-12) and the Postsecondary Teacher are responsible for the instruction of designated CTE content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
A member of the Access Center team, the Problem Solving Specialist is able to offer problem-solving (also known as "Diversion" or "Rapid Resolution") services, which is a crisis response philosophy and approach focused on supporting youth experiencing a housing crisis to quickly identify and access alternative housing resources outside of the homeless crisis response system. By practicing active listening skills through creative conversations, the Problem Solving Specialist supports the youth in crisis to identify viable temporary or permanent housing resources within their own networks or resources, such as family or friends. In select cases and as a last resort, limited and one-time financial assistance can enhance an individual or family's success in rapidly connecting to alternative temporary or permanent housing.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Utilize culturally-relevant active listening and motivational interviewing skills with participants to identify possible supports in their network that can assist them with temporary or permanent housing outside of the Youth Coordinated Entry System (YCES)
- Deliver both field- and place-based supportive services, as appropriate, to participants
- Acquire resources and make successful referrals, including follow-up to ensure the participant successfully accesses and initially retains housing
- Identify safety or health issues that may need to be considered during identification of housing
- Provide mediation between households and property owners/family/friends to assist in resolving housing crisis
- Partner with legal service providers to resolve housing crises
- Negotiate terms of agreements between participants and host as appropriate (e.g. actively seek employment, attend to medical/mental health/substance abuse issues, complete household chores weekly, etc.)
- Ensure services are documented (e.g. face to face, phone and collateral contacts) in all relevant databases in a timely and thorough manner
- Assist in budgeting with participants, and determine what level of minimal assistance is necessary to be successfully housed or have housing crisis resolved
- Facilitate access to YCES for participants, as appropriate, including the completion of the Initial Triage and Initial Assessment phases of system access and assessment
- For participants gaining entry into CES, provide a warm handoff to sustained case management services where possible, or provide initial case management for up to 60 days upon the participant gaining CES access
- Attend trainings and participate in regular technical assistance such as learning collaboratives
- Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field is preferred , but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience in case management, counseling or related experience is required .
- 2+ years experience providing direct services to high-risk youth including counseling and advocacy is required .
- 1+ years' experience working in a drop-in center, access center, or access point is preferred .
- Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health and substance abuse) is preferred .
- Cultural Humility and Responsiveness.
- Best practice models including: Housing First, Positive Youth Development, Authentic Youth Engagement, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, Critical Time Intervention preferred
- Self-Starter skill set, requiring the ability to develop relationships, build rapport and trust with members, community partners, volunteers, and staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including organizational, detail and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to uphold Access Center policy and procedure with members, staff, volunteers, and community partners
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities in a multicultural environment.
- Works cooperatively with individuals, groups and organizations with diverse mission, composition, function, capacity and geographic location.
- Understanding of homeless services including CES and HMIS database.
- Strong understanding of LA County foster care and juvenile justice systems, including foster care placement options, participant rights and eligibility, and discharge planning processes preferred.
- Strong belief in growth mindset, self-determination, and psychological resilience.
- Must have valid CA Driver's License, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The Eligibility and Enrollment Member Management Project is one of the largest IT projects for the State of South Carolina. It is a multi-year effort to replace the States aging Medicaid Eligibility Determination System and other member management applications with a multi-tier application environment that requires modern technologies, technical practices and substantial collaboration with a variety of stakeholders. This system will utilize Cúrams social program management platform and will be configured/implemented by the State in partnership with designated vendors. SC uses the social program management platform from Cúram in the provision of services. This software combines the advantages of commercial off-the-shelf software, an enterprise platform and service-oriented architecture with the business and technical flexibility required to implement solutions to meet agency objectives.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Cúram Operations Consultant will serve as the on-sight technical resource for the Member Management Replacement Project leadership and team. The Senior Cúram Operations Consultant is responsible for providing guidance to SCDHHS and MMRP vendors related to Operations and Maintenance of the IBM Cúram software including requirements, designs and development activities/deliverables. The consultant will work with the teams business analysts, subject matter experts, system integrator and designated vendors, as well as Enterprise Services team to meet the project goals.
Duties include:
- Serves as a technical resource, providing technical/analytical guidance to project team and vendors; provide advice on best practices for utilizing IBM Cúram software for meeting stated business needs
- Identifies, reviews, approves approaches/proposed solutions to meeting business requirements utilizing IBM Cúram software; communicates risks and concerns related to proposed solutions and offers alternative solutions as appropriate.
- Conducts demonstrations and develops proofs of concept utilizing IBM Cúram software, as appropriate, to verify the feasibility of proposed IT approaches/solutions
- Conducts and coordinates data mapping and gap analysis to determine if the IBM Cúram software meets business needs
- Ensures transition from DDI implementation to Operations is successful and knowledge is transferred to the Operations team.
- Uses knowledge of IBM Cúram framework to consult with development leads in resolving issues and meeting business requirements

The NC DIT-Transportation is seeking a Technical Specialist resource for a 12-month engagement to work with the Service Desk/Accounts Team. This candidate serves as an advanced level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in service desk and account management. Uses technical expertise in the Service Delivery of an Information Technology Infrastructure and an understanding of business needs to evaluate assigned IT incident and problem service desk tickets to appropriately prioritize and evaluate business impact and demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for data protection in Operations and Security.
Serves as a technical resource on all of NCDOTs standard desktop applications to 12,000+ computer users. Provides an understanding and knowledge of applications serving as a strong base for technical expertise in NCDOT products and programs. Ability to work independently to analyze customers needs and resolve technical problems; manage time to meet schedules; prioritize tasks according to customer needs; communicate highly technical information to non-technical users; troubleshoot hardware and software problems involving local area networks and personal computer systems; manage critical incidents, identify problems, make necessary corrections, and/or assist others with resolutions. Supports end user password resets. Instructs users via phone and/or email on the basic functionality of desktop applications. Follows detailed procedures while making recommendations for routine problem solutions. Takes calls from end users verifying their identity, demographics and communicating effectively to understand their request. Enters information into the Service Now call tracking system and monitors to ensure customer service needs are met for all computer and network related issues. Distributes Agency-wide email communications and notices related to technology issues.
Performs advanced level professional work in account administration and analyzes information to create and/or modify accounts for new employees and/or existing employees. Functions as a niche technical subject matter expert (SME) in Active Directory with a high technological skill level. Ability to troubleshoot data and application access issues and adjust Active Directory properties as needed. Ability to capture incidents and resolve incidents within Service Now and issues identified by the business with the ability to document resolutions providing weekly status reports to Management. Considerable knowledge as demonstrated by an understanding of critical information technology operations and security. Provides the knowledge and skills of DOT and ITS security policies, as well as the security issues directly affecting the systems and technology for which employees are directly involved.
