Job Description: Join the team working on next-generation ATE solutions and semiconductor devices, supporting customers in transforming their digital test requirements into reality. You'll work on cutting-edge technology alongside our customers, in close collaboration with R&D and marketing in a cross-functional, international environment. This position is ideal for a software or electrical engineer with a strong test engineering background, requiring in-depth knowledge of the V93000 system and strong software skills for writing test programs and tooling to meet customer needs. You should have the drive to work in a challenging environment where requirements change daily, and solutions must be developed and delivered quickly. You are a self-starter capable of working independently on complex requirements, leveraging your software skills and V93000 knowledge. You are approachable, a good communicator with deep technical knowledge, and regarded as a role model by your peers. Responsibilities include: Develop ATE test programs (Java) for digital devices on the 93k platform. Support customers in debugging and resolving SmarTest software issues. Write scripts (Perl/Python) and tools to help customers improve their process quality and reduce time to market. Train customers on new software and hardware solutions from R&D and the Advantest Application Development Center. Collaborate with R&D and external teams to gather customer requirements for developing next-generation solutions. Communicate Advantest's strengths, solutions, and roadmap strategies to customers, addressing daily technical challenges. Prepare and execute pre-sales activities such as customer presentations, benchmark projects, requirements analysis, and competitive positioning. This candidate must be based within 40 miles of a Schneider Electric Hub location (Andover, MA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Foxboro, MA; Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; Florham Park, NJ; Houston/Round Up, TX; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO).This role is intended to be in the office 2-3 days per week with up to 40% travel per month to various customer locations across the US.

"The Protection, Controls & Automation (PCA) group of Digital power is the engineering entity of Schneider Electric NAM that specialized in developing solutions for control and protection for electrical substations, datacenter, Oil & gas and distribution networks.

Within this group, the Energy Automation team is seeking a Sr. Application Engineer with advanced knowledge in Power systems, Protection schemes, Protection relays configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for leading multiple complex power system projects, proposing new and creative features and improvements to customers, training team members and supporting them in-person or remotely as needed. The candidate will also be required to have expertise in core responsibilities listed below. This role will be 60% hybrid in office with a 40% of travel to various customer locations across united states.

Core Responsibilities:

• SAFETY FIRST approach - Demonstrate and promote Schneider Electric Safety-First policies, including STOP work authority, to internal and external stakeholders.
• Design, Configuration, Testing Protection, Control and Automation projects - Based on customer specifications, meetings, and discussions, lead the development of design specifications, review and validate project documentation and test scripts, engage Application Engineers in testing and validation of project, and execute the project during FAT and SAT. This includes complex solutions involving proven technologies or modifications of existing solutions. Identify potential risks associated with the project scope, design, testing, schedule, etc., and provide mitigation strategies. Ensure the design, configuration, testing and execution of PCA projects adhere to the approved quality process.
• Technical Leadership - Lead project design and architecture discussions with customers and other business units on complex, multi-BU solutions.
• Collaboration - Collaborate with Sales and PM during project handover stage to clarify the project scope, promote and propose Schneider Electric digital solutions to customer for enhancement of the existing scope of work. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of PCA projects.
• Innovation - Lead development of PCA projects by implementing technical standards. Propose new ideas and process to improve efficiency and benefit the team and organization.
• Technical escalation management - Manage technical escalation of customer projects by resolving technical issues and communicating effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.

Profile:

• Engineering degree / master's degree in electrical / Power system domain
• Must be a digital citizen.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in executing Protection, Control and Automation projects.
• Advance knowledge in Power system, Protection relays, Protection schemes, and Protection relay based ATO schemes.
• Be an outgoing and energetic professional who thinks strategically and creatively.
• Have excellent people skills and possess the ability to influence, convince, communicate, mentor application engineers.
• Must be well organized and proactive professional who works well with people.
• Willingness to travel 40% domestically.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric's Medium and Low voltage systems.
• Knowledge in protection relay based ATO testing and different protection scheme testing Example: Feeder protection, Transformer protection, Bus differential, Arc flash protection and Motor protection testing.
• Able to program and trouble shoot above protection schemes.
• Expertise in different communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP, and IEC61850
• Experience in executing complex protection relay based ATO schemes over IEC61850 standard.

The Application Support Engineer will be part of an integrated Operations & Sustainment team providing critical 24x7 mission support to our customer and will interface with engineering resources located at other facilities, and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the customer application and monitoring/investigation of segment interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Work with on-site database and system administration support personnel to convey and investigate system anomalies.

• Investigate operational issues and perform problem escalation with vendor, factory, and on-site Subject Matter Experts (SME) as required.

• Ensure system issues are identified and resolved, minimizing operational impacts.

• Support servers, workstations, and storage systems in a team-based environment.

• Provides support to customers accessing NGA's Portal and related applications in support of real-world, time-critical operations.

• Achieves optimum performance and availability standards in accordance with service level agreements by assessing, implementing, and managing appropriate technical solutions.

• Ensure systems maintain a near 100% uptime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent

• 2+ years relevant work experience to include:

• Ability to provide rotating site support (24x7) to ensure system issues are identified and resolved, minimizing operational impacts - shift work is required in a high-paced environment.

• Panama Night Shift 7 pm to 7 am ( 2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 3 off )

• Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting

• Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
