**Aquatic Fitness Instructor - Bentonville, AR**
**On-call / substitute, working on an as needed basis**
Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, managed by HealthFitness, is looking for an **Aquatic Fitness Instructor** to join the aquatics team at our state-of-the-art facility in **Bentonville, Arkansas** . In this position you will provide effective and safe aquatic fitness class instruction to adults participating in group classes. You will design programs to meet the participant's interests, abilities, and goals.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Aquatic Fitness Instructor certification required.
+ Adult & pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
+ 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
Compensation: $22 - $26/class. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Spring Lake Village Summary: The FAC Director seeks ways to develop, enhance, promote, and sell the Center's program. Serves as a role model to FAC participants, prospects and the outside community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction. Follow and apply exercise norms/protocols per industry standards. Instruct individuals and group classes with appropriate techniques. Promotes and sells the FAC program. Manages center's operation including facilities, personnel, programs and budget. Stimulates wellness programs for co-workers and works with other departments establishing wellness applications and continuum of services (i.e., food service, activities, therapy, etc). Offers personal training and other fee-based services. Maintains equipment as needed. Responsible for budget management, fund raising; recruiting, hiring, developing, counseling and terminating staff. Is responsible for the staff, residents and patrons' satisfaction with the programs, assistance and outcomes as well as the financial accountability of the center. Qualifications : Must be proficient in all areas of accountability. Understanding the unique needs of the elderly. Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills required. Represents the FAC with an enthusiastic, friendly, and welcoming demeanor. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : B.S. or M.S. in Exercise Science or degree in related discipline combined with relevant continuing education and profession experience. Certification with ACSM, ACEM AFAA, or SFA helpful but not mandatory. Three to five years of experience as a personal trainer, instructor, and/or assistant to a fitness or wellness director. The duties listed below are essential functions of the position that must be performed to effectively perform the position in at least an acceptable manner as defined by Front Porch. In the future, other duties may be assigned and considered essential functions of the position:
* Conducts aquatic and non-aquatic group exercise classes in a welcoming and nurturing environment for all residents and guests. Provides a range of acceptable activities to meet the various fitness levels of class participants and adheres to appropriate safety guidelines.
* Demonstrates exercises and appropriate use of equipment.
* Document resident attendance and individual fitness progress data as needed.
