KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble product components with precision, using advanced tooling and equipment.
• Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to execute high-quality assembly.
• Read and follow written and/or visual production procedures
• Perform inspections to ensure parts and final products meet tolerance specifications and quality standards
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and/or electrical issues during and after assembly
• Recognize and communicate problems to help identify cause and corrective actions
• Perform some packaging/crating of specialized equipment
• Keep a clean, organized workspace, contributing to our safety and quality culture.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Tool Proficiency : Skilled in using basic hand tools. Use of electrical tools, and power tools relevant to the assembly process are considered an asset.
• Mechanical Assembly Knowledge : Proficient in assembly functions, including part preparation, mechanical installation, and quality inspection.
• Technical Reading Ability : Competent in interpreting mechanical assembly drawings and electrical schematics is an asset.
• Basic Troubleshooting : Able to diagnose and resolve common mechanical or electrical issues encountered during assembly.
• Manual Dexterity: Comfortable handling and assembling parts and tools of varying sizes.
• Basic Math & Writing Proficiency: Competence in fundamental math and clear written communication.

Here's what you'd do:

• To perform a variety of difficult mechanical and technical assignments, such as constructing, troubleshooting, and maintaining microwave products. Works from sketches and verbal instructions under limited supervision.
• Performs difficult mechanical and technical assignments such as constructing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining tubes, microwave products, electro-mechanical devices, component, and systems, works from schematics, engineering drawings, written and verbal instructions.
• Conducts testing of mechanical systems and improvises procedures and processes if necessary.
• Develops or modifies mechanical products to company or customer requirements.
• Operates related mechanical equipment necessary to construct, troubleshoot, process, and maintain specific products.
• Prepares and assists in determining prescribed compounds and solutions for use in processing, etching, and metalizing materials.
• Evaluates various types of mechanical products and equipment and develops tuning, test, and alignment procedures.
• Recommends changes or modifications to improve the operation or quality of mechanical products.
• Determines methods, operations, and sequences in settling procedures for constructing, processing, and modifying mechanical products as needed.
• Designs and improvises difficult mechanical tools and fixtures as needed.
• Performs the more complex analyses of rejected, returned, or in-process microwave tubes in support of engineering/manufacturing as needed.
• Provides technical assistance, training, and leadership as necessary.

**JOB SUMMARY **

Responsible for assembling specialized remote switching equipment.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES **

• Assemble remote switching equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

• Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including but not limited to mounting components, connecting wires, and securing assemblies.

• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Inspect finished assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise, working collaboratively with engineering and production teams.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and procedures at all times.

• Assist in inventory management by tracking components and materials used in assembly.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes and product quality.

• Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals, and follow the plan of assembly or building operations.  
• Remove rough spots, and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts, using hand tools and power tools.  
• Verify conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.  
• Assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes.  
• Maintain and lubricate parts and components.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with electrical enclosures, wiring components, reading schematics, and adhering to quality and safety standards. You’ll contribute directly to the build of complex electrical systems used in commercial, industrial, and energy applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble electrical control panels, switchboards, and other industrial electrical systems according to engineering drawings and schematics.
• Use power tools to mechanically construct various products and systems
• Mount and wire components such as relays, circuit breakers, contactors, transformers, and terminal blocks inside enclosures.
• Cut, strip, label, and route wires using hand and power tools in accordance with wiring diagrams and layout instructions.
• Perform point-to-point wiring and test for continuity and functionality.
• Conduct quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL 508A, NEC, or IEC as applicable).
• Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to resolve design or production issues.
