**What you'll do:**
As an **Assembly Supervisor** , your key responsibilities will include:
+ Developing and leading a team of 60-80 people to achieve operational, quality, and continuous improvement goals through training, coaching, discipline, and effective communication
+ Championing the use of continuous improvement tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and meet labor efficiency targets
+ Implementing product and engineering changes effectively and efficiently
+ Modeling and promoting adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies and initiatives
+ Prioritizing safety when assigning work to team members
+ Monitoring work order progress to ensure quality and timely completion
+ Maintaining accurate records of timecards and overtime
+ Fostering a positive working relationship with union representatives by adhering to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Associate degree with 2+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management OR Bachelor's degree with internship experience in the manufacturing and/or industrial field

The **Assembly Supervisor** is a key leadership position that directs and is responsible for the production operation. **Your responsibilities will include**
+ Lead a team consisting of up to 100 operators with the support of a production leader
+ Fierce advocate and enforcer of safety protocol and policy. Up to date on latest policy and procedures and able to swiftly implement policy changes.
+ Initiate and lead improvements in safety, cost, quality and productivity that impact the Assembly Department and internal & external partners.
+ Lead and direct technicians and work teams, and serve as a coordinator between cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Quality, Materials, Engineering and Operations.
+ Create an environment of development and evolution for subordinate leaders. Manage the growth plan for Production and group Leaders, groom team members for succession.
+ Apply critical thinking and root cause analysis tools and prescribed documentation methods to identify defects, develop countermeasures, and solve problems.
+ Excellent communication skills to provide key and timely operations information to all levels of the organization to assure fluid operations from shift to shift.
+ Continue fostering team development and utilization of Lean manufacturing or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools and thinking into daily routines to eliminate issues and inefficiencies in the Finishing Area.

**Minimum requirements**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead Tier 1 meetings and support Tier 2/3 meetings daily/weekly.
- Plan and schedule production runs based on customer demand and agreed upon delivery dates.
- Prepare and coordinate front-end set-up and planning to ensure smooth operations to meet daily production targets.
- Monitor the assembly process and workflow as well as staging and packaging to identify potential issues, resolve production problems, address employee questions, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and meet quality specifications.
- Recommend capital investments to automate processes.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and set-up of production equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
- Work with Quality Control to conduct quality checks on completed panels to validate tolerances and specifications.
- Ensure proper staging and packaging to minimize damage.
- Review daily production records, identify trends, and evaluate employee performance.
- Lead and motivate assembly workers, providing guidance and support on the floor side by side with the assembly team.

As a member of the operations team the production supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of the manufacturing process of customized products according to customer specifications and quality standards. The production supervisor coordinates within production and production planning, to ensure timely and efficient production. + Plan, schedule, and monitor the production of engineers to order products based on customer orders and deadlines.

**What You Bring**
+ Bachelor's or associate degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent (High School Diploma/GED)
