Assembly Technician Technical Glass Products Snoqualmie, WAAllegion is seeking an Assembly Technician to fulfill a full-time position in Snoqualmie, WA at our Technical Glass Products facility. The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and preparing all fabricated and finished products for shipment to the customer.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM. 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime
What You Will Do:
- Perform final assembly on products, using hand or power tools based on drawings and work instructions.
- Fit and install hardware to frame.
- Cut and fit channels to frame using conventional cutting equipment.
- Install gasketing per protocol and drawings.
- Inspect completed operations for quality, accuracy and quantity.
- Expedite material as required.
- Allocate material used to the proper pick-list.
- Locate & position material as required.
- Prioritize and schedule assembly operations to ensure on-time delivery per requirements.
- Check material and product for defects and correct dimensions.
- Document the operations performed and verify all operations have been completed as specified on the documents. Report all issues and inconsistencies.
- Use Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for materials and operations not in compliance.
- Initiate corrective actions to get NCRs resolved and get material back into production.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 1+ years of manufacturing / mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Experience using hand tools preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints, production and technical drawings.
- Able to complete assigned tasks in a limited time frame.
- Strong organizational, basic computer, and math skills.
- Remains alert in a high-risk environment.
- Assesses priorities to determine what is urgently needed.
- Maintains schedule and tasks despite interruptions.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in an environment where heavy work is required and where moderate to loud noise occurs. The employee is in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty. May be working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds). Production aids such as tilting assembly tables, overhead cranes and forklifts can be used for these tasks. Perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Personal protective equipment will be required and provided. In addition, the individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform under stress. They must be able to work rapidly for long periods and to communicate and interact with others. They also must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks, read and comprehend the material they read. The employee must be able to write, and problem solve. 40+ hours per week will typically be necessary to accomplish performance objectives and to provide satisfactory job presence and/or responsiveness.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read service and repair manuals.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
- Ability to learn and work in a team environment.
- Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements.
- Ability to Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) is preferred.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED or Equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs including pump valves, cylinders, etc.
- Must be comfortable with electrical trouble shooting.
- Must have wrenching experience.
- Must be comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder, air tools etc.
- Must be eager to learn, have a good work ethic, and be able to accept responsibility for work performed.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Whether you're experienced in mechanical assembly, electrical testing, or fiber optic splicing, we have multiple departments with exciting opportunities to match your strengths.Available Shifts•Sunday - Wednesday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM•Wednesday - Saturday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM - 3:30 AMKey ResponsibilitiesDepending on the department, your day-to-day may include:•Structural and mechanical assembly using torque wrenches and hand tools•Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions•Electrical testing, splicing fiber optic cables, or PCBA assembly•Material handling using pallet jacks, cranes, or riding equipment•Working with SAP and other computer-based systems for documentation•Following aerospace specifications and quality standardsMust-Have Qualifications•2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production (aerospace preferred)•Proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, and mechanical assembly•Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings•Comfortable with repetitive tasks and focused on quality and precision•Strong attendance record and team-oriented mindsetPreferred Qualifications•Experience in aerospace, automotive, construction, or electrical installation•Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems•Ability to follow visual and written instructions•Experience with fiber optics, PCBA, or mechanical/electrical testingDepartments Hiring•Final Integration: Satellite assembly, rigging, harnessing, torque application•Panel Lines: Fiber optic splicing, cable handling, sub-assembly installation•Mechanisms / Mixed Model Assembly: PCBA, mechanical/electrical testing•SSL: Aerospace manufacturing, blueprint reading, SAP usagePay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $7.00 - 27.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Experience working within an aerospace or automotive industry Able to read, interpret and work from engineering documentation and/ or drawingsExperience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirementsExperience working with MES software packagesAbility to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environmentAbility to work effectively in a team environment Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceAircraft & Powerplant certification/licenseAutomotive certification's, or other technical certification's/AA's Hands on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters, torque wrenches, etc.) Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
