As the Advanced Industrial Manufacturing & Controls Engineer , you will be responsible for SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) project management and implementation across the Aerospace SBU. This position is a Hybrid role working three (3) days a week onsite at one of our facilities and two (2) days a week remote. The primary sites that you will be reporting too will our Mojave, CA facility or our Sylmar, CA location as needed.
This is a Hybrid role and you will report to the Process Engineer Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Participating as a team member in a specific phase of an engineering assignment; directing preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects; providing technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians
- Develop RFQs, SOW and directly manage vendors and contractors, plan and execute the totality of the project, direct workflow reviews as needed, and coordinate equipment installation.
- Field supervision of employees and contractors, improving labor relations, and leading inter-disciplinary teams.
- Project and special process documentation, including technical writing of standard operating procedures (SOP), operations manuals, and training documentation.
- Assist with capital budgeting and fiscal control of projects, justifying ROA/ROE/ROI, total bid process including bidder lists and bid comparison, strategic cost avoidance and reduction
- Implementation of aerospace strategic SCADA throughout the SBU. This includes hardware and software selection and installation. Keep each facilities SCADA system up to date, standardized from facility to facility and work with manufacturing departments at each facility to develop real time display of metrics.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen required
- Bachelor's degree in Software, Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent work experience & certifications is required
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Experience with GE Proficy a Plus
- Knowledge of PLC's is required
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC is a plus
- Five (5) or more years of experience with project management in an industrial capacity required

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 based on experience and education.

Responsibilities:
+ Implement automated processes. Inspection, pick and place, sorting, vision systems, etc.

+ Knowledge of miniature resistance welding and plating processes is a plus.
+ Requires a high degree of creative ability, engineering skill, interpersonal skills and independent judgment. Work on assignments normally requiring broad theoretical knowledge.
+ Hands-on manufacturing skills in assembling and testing precision electromechanical components is preferred.
