The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to drive Data Center and Network Capacity planning in IAD. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.
Key job responsibilities
- Monitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
- Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
- Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed.
- Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
- End to end responsibility for the program's execution and success.
- Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
- Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.
- Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent technical Degree OR
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
- Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Tableau
