Our client, a prestigious financial institution, is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Senior Quantitative Analyst to join our expanding team in Omaha, Nebraska . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to blend focused, in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing sophisticated quantitative models used in trading, risk management, and portfolio optimization across various asset classes. This position demands a deep understanding of financial markets, advanced statistical techniques, and proficiency in programming languages commonly used in quantitative finance.

As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and risk officers to translate complex financial challenges into mathematical frameworks. Your responsibilities will include model development, validation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. You will perform rigorous backtesting, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing to ensure the robustness and accuracy of your models. The ideal candidate possesses a strong academic background in a quantitative discipline, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in applying quantitative methods to real-world financial problems. You will contribute to the firm's strategic decision-making by providing insights derived from data-driven analysis.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing, validating, and implementing quantitative models for pricing, hedging, risk management, and portfolio construction.
  • Performing statistical analysis, econometrics, and time-series analysis on large datasets.
  • Collaborating with front office and risk management teams to understand their needs and translate them into quantitative solutions.
  • Conducting rigorous backtesting and performance analysis of trading strategies and risk models.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of the firm's quantitative infrastructure and tools.
  • Monitoring market dynamics and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Documenting models and methodologies clearly and comprehensively.
  • Staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in quantitative finance.

Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis, preferably within investment banking or asset management.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, R, or MATLAB.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk management principles.
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience with SQL and database management is a plus.
