**Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** The Health Science & Behavioral Research Associate I is under the supervision of the Research Associates/Research Managers, recruits project participants and administers structured and/or interview survey materials. May be responsible for data collection, data entry, and/or study documentation. Conducts literature searches, writes summary documents, and may participate in the design of studies and metrics.
**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:**
+ Preferred experience in interviewing and recruiting project participants.
+ Familiarity with CASI interviewing tools is advantageous.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access is preferred.
+ Experience working with children, parents, guardians, caregivers, and diverse populations.

  • Handle inventory and place orders through various vendors for CRC lab supplies, office supplies, and study teams as necessary.
  • Communicate and follow up with vendors to obtain quotes for special items, and track POs when needed.
  • Monitor patient food supplies and place orders via Instacart or BIDMC catering.
  • Act as the point person for communication between our DXA Technician at BIDMC and study teams at Joslin to coordinate scheduling for patient scans.
  • Schedule and assist with coordinating the CRC Investigators Meetings every other month.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain department personnel files for all pediatric research personnel. Provide onboarding orientation and schedule necessary trainings for new personnel. Assist with paperwork for staff privileges for new and current staff. Act as primary contact for visiting physicians and scholars and assist with creation and management of visiting schedule and other administrative needs.
  • Provide other administrative support as needed, including: making travel arrangements and submitting expense reimbursements for pediatric research personnel, ordering supplies, scheduling and reserving rooms for meetings, maintaining current information for pediatric research cost centers, facilitating external requests for permission to use pediatric research surveys, and assisting with preparation of grant proposals, reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Provide administrative coordination for pediatric education programs for school nurses and caregivers, including program advertisements, attendee registration and payments, catering, budgeting, program materials, educational grant applications, re-application to the American Nurses Association Massachusetts every 2 years for approval to provide continuing education credits, and vendor display opportunities.

+ Independently execute tasks using your technical skills for projects in the field of computational fluid dynamics.
+ Work as part of a team executing on multi-generation technology programs to enable future design advancements.
+ Participate in the development of high-fidelity computational analyses techniques
+ You will use both proprietary and commercial CFD solvers.
+ Participate in validation & verification efforts to advance computational methodologies and/or to demonstrate new technologies.
+ Interface with experimentalists to ensure high quality data acquisition.
+ Develop ideas and concepts to improve the combustion efficiency and thermal performance and operability of various components in GE Aerospace products.
+ Collaborate with the GE Aerospace engineering community to communicate and validate state-of-the-art combustion and thermal prediction methodologies and analysis systems.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines OR Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant experience
+ Experience in geometry modeling and meshing. Specifically, in computational geometry, commercial pre-processing packages, computer science, data structures and software development.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in meshing & using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), hi-fidelity LES based approach and high-performance computing.
+ Experience and knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and CFD.
+ Ability to investigate, model and provide critical insight into complex physical flow phenomena
