**Position Overview**
SLAC's Facilities and Operations Division manages one of the world's premier science facilities on a 400+ acre Stanford site with 150+ structures for the Department of Energy. Our Facilities Building and Space Management team is seeking an energetic member with experience in Facility Management of multiple buildings with complex environments: office and laboratory space, critical data centers, old and new infrastructure. As a member of the Building and Space Management group you will work within a collaborative team, but with limited guidance, and will represent Facilities and Operations in a partnership supporting the Laboratory Science Directorates.
Members of this team are responsible for providing customer services for multiple Science Directorates in support of 1600+ staff and associated facilities. Work is typically comprised of 30% time contribution towards project leadership and team contribution, and 70% as a technical contributor working both in the field and in an office environment.
SLAC is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) laboratory operated by Stanford University and based in Menlo Park; CA.
**Your specific responsibilities include:**
+ Maintain high-level client relations with building occupants and Science Directorate Business Managers, representing all of Facilities and Operations.
+ Maintain excellent communication with building occupants, management, and support groups.
+ Coordinate facilities operations and engineering services and work independently to develop solutions for routine and urgent situations. Support activities such as engineering analysis, maintenance schedules, critical repair, and upgrades related to building equipment and systems.
+ Perform as operations and system engineering point of contact and technical expert for complex infrastructure systems engineering operations and services as defined above.
+ Support preventive maintenance plan by coordinating and integrating utility usage/optimization (monitor usage, gather info, provide recommendations, follow-up, shutdown requirements).
+ Initiate and coordinate work requests, monitor completion; monitor and manage maintenance budget; coordinate and monitor preventative and predictive maintenance activities, service calls and ensure services completion.
+ Assess metrics, monitor and report related trends; perform initial condition assessments of technical systems and equipment, or troubleshooting (formulated by Facilities Services manager, Engineer or another group), analyze test results and data, report status and provide recommendations.
+ Coordinate, direct, inspect and approve contract work, third party vendors; identify, recommend and implement process modifications for increased productivity and/or cost reduction, manage related budget; coordinate maintenance logistics.
+ Conduct duties as a project coordinate, including organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Participate in meetings to keep area manager and technical staff apprised of project progress, status, quality and schedule.

The Manager, Marcom Packaging Research & Development position supervises a team of Print Experts as a collaborative, people-first leader. The Marcom Packaging Research & Development Senior Print Expert leads or support projects to develop print processes or solutions to improve current print technology, post-print graphic treatment, print quality, and print sustainability for packaging components.

Responsibilities include:
Engage deeply with internal partner teams in design, materials, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, as well as our external packaging supply chain, to implement and execute projects to develop the next generation of package printing technologies for Apple.
Support troubleshooting of technical issues during print development projects across all product lines, as needed.
Available for both domestic and international travel (at least 15 percent of time).
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 10+ years of experience leading technical projects in the field of consumer packaging, sustainable packaging materials, fine art graphic printing, and/or application equipment.
+ Deep understanding of printing processes, especially with fiber-based substrates, and the ability to solve print-related issues with various inks, coating, adhesives, print decoration (cold foil) and finishing technologies.
+ Experience with packaging manufacturing and quality systems, and the experience applying new raw materials to final print applications.
+ Knowledge of statistical and data analysis tools, interpretation results, and presentations to inform data-driven decision making.
