BUILDING MAINTENANCE POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintains and oversees electrical, general, and preventative maintenance, and resolves immediate operational and safety concerns.

  • Maintenance activities include but not limited to equipment operational condition readings and adjustments, light bulb, and ballast replacement, plumbing repairs, preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and controls, filter replacements, general equipment lubrication, maintain machinery equipment and other materials, painting, locksmith work, basic carpentry, and construction.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Follow all applicable workplace laws, regulations, and standards, including the understanding and use of workplace chemicals, SDS/MSDS sheets, personal protective equipment, safe storage usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Document and record all completed work orders in a neat and organized manner.
  • Available to work extended shift periods, weekends, non-regular work periods, and/or holidays as needed, be "on call", and respond to emergency situations.
  • Must be able to travel to other business locations, as needed.
  • Must be able to drive a motorized vehicle (Forklift, Car, etc.).
  • Interacts with and works with contractors/ vendors who help operate and maintain the facility.

· Test drive repaired equipment to ensure safe and proper operating performance before releasing to operator.
· Maintain and perform minor repairs to batteries. Charge batteries and conduct periodic tests to ensure sufficient energy flow.
· Perform preventative maintenance to equipment using established checklist.
· Coordinate ordering of parts with Manager/Lead Technician. Maintain daily log of equipment repairs and maintenance.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
· Perform other duties as requested by Manager or Lead Technician when necessary.
Required Qualifications :
· Three (3) years previous experience with proven ability to independently repair and troubleshoot a variety of forklift equipment
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
· Ability to be trained and licensed to operate a forklift.
· Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Frequent bending/reaching/stooping, constant walking/standing/climbing

  • Pay: $16.50 per hour
  • Start Date: Starts immediately!
  • Year Round: These positions are on mountain all year and are a core group of essential staff that have tasks even during our off season to organize and prepare.
  • Schedule: May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Maintenance: Service equipment per manufacturer, federal, state, and insurance requirements; complete maintenance logs and records.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Quickly address malfunctions, test machines, and inspect equipment and buildings.
  • Documentation: Record all work performed, manage work orders for billing, and maintain historical records.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly test equipment, notify supervisors of abnormalities, and follow technical manuals for proper procedures.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety policies, maintain clean work areas, use PPE, and follow company uniform and conduct standards.
  • Inventory and Training: Check inventory, attend training, and stay updated with trade publications.
  • Guest and Staff Support: Assist guests with equipment issues, and support other departments as needed.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Know the locations of critical systems and maintain hot tub areas and Saflok systems.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED


Driving:

  • Have a valid Driver's license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program


Preferred Experience:

  • 2 years as a maintenance worker or similar vocational certification
  • May require lifting and moving up to 75 pounds.
