**Description:** - Manage the resources and products assigned to CAD/CAM Development team
- Program Manager for CAD ART Development Teams to ensure new requests are prioritized against existing backlogs to support the Customer and stakeholder needs
- Represent the Senior Manager with StarDrive Solution Train to provide PLM/CAD deployment and support to Programs as needed

What You Will Learn

This role is responsible for integrating all aspects of Engineering Software (SW) functions into Enterprise Services (ES) Strategy and Transformation Initiatives through collaborating and partnering with suppliers, ES leaders, and functional service owners. A key component of the role is to develop supplier capabilities, partnerships and category strategies for internal use requirements.

The ideal candidate will draw from past experience with various Engineering software technologies and can assist with translating this knowledge via contract negotiations and project management skills to lead the coordination, communication and integration of suppliers to support the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives. This individual will have an understanding of supplier products and develop various strategies to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line.

An understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, from contract negotiations to requisition and PO placement is needed for this role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to develop effective presentations and present to leadership and peers.

What You Will Do

Strategy Development & Negotiation: Build a strategy, lead and manage negotiations for Engineering Software (SW) contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions to the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives for RTX

Engineering Software experiences: Atlassian, Siemens, Synopsys, PTC, Ansys and MathWorks, etc.

License Types: Experience with various forms of SW licensing methodologies and complex pricing analysis

Strategy Consulting: Gathering requirements and identifying solutions to achieve desired outcomes

Contract Review & Drafting: Review, draft, and revise a variety of contracts including software licenses and master agreements

Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including partnership peers, legal, finance, cyber to align contract terms with company objectives

This individual will:
+ Lead a business-aligned engineering team in support of critical banking functions to meet digital strategy initiative objectives.
+ Guide the team on their journey toward software delivery best-practices to achieve innovative, safe, and sound solutions and achieve time-sensitive business outcomes.
+ Cultivate relationships with all stakeholders including business, product, technology, risk, suppliers, and operations.
+ Ensure the uptime and availability of mission critical applications through proactive management of SSDLC/DevSecOps, software development, quality assurance, and other industry leading engineering practices.
+ Ensure the team has the needed technical skills, competencies, business domain expertise, process knowledge, industry sector knowledge, and capacity to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
+ Participate in reviews, approvals, and recommendations during development and deployment activities.
+ Manage vendor relationships, as needed, ensuring the vendors' performance and contributions align with objectives and strategy.
+ Manage the total cost of ownership, annual budgeting and forecasting of the team including software, FTE/contractors, and professional services.
+ Serve as a Technology Foundation Product Owner/Project Manager (POPM) through Agile/Kanban-style value delivery system.
+ Other duties as assigned (including escalated support for on-call activities and change management responsibilities outside of normal business hours and software level documentation practices).
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems or other related degree. Professional Certifications (ex. SAFe, CSM, CKA, CI/CD, Java, etc.) are highly desired.
+ 6+ years' experience leading, mentoring, assisting and cultivating a high-performing team of full-stack and mobile software engineers.
+ 5+ years' experience leading and/or influencing cloud ready and cloud-native application software delivery.
+ Experience in delivering toward SOC 2 Type II or other technology compliance certifications in Fintech or Banking industries is highly desired.
+ Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate effectively with senior business and technical management, vendors, and team members.
+ Proven ability to interact with others to identify, analyze and solve complex incidents and problems through close attention to detail.
+ Excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills.
+ Experience as a Senior or Principal level developer is highly desired.
Pay Range:
$115,000 - $170,000 (Based upon relatable skills/experience)
Location:
This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives in Salt Lake City, Utah. We will consider candidates in the Salt Lake City area or able to relocate to the Salt Lake City area.

Job Description

You will utilize your software engineering skill set to help NanoCore bring our first metal 3D printer to market. You will contribute to PC or cloud-based deployments to realize future generations of NanoCores machine control software. This role requires extensive laboratory and shop work, both routine and creative in nature. Activities include:

Conceiving and realizing toolpath generation algorithms to control NanoCores machines, including researching and incorporating state of the art toolpath solutions.

Contributing to production codebases in C/C++, Python, and more; includes documentation, source repository management, and pursuit of software engineering best practices.

Designing DOE and verification test to prove software functionality on printer hardware.

Contributing to GUI development, cloud and IoT components, logging and database efforts.

Qualifications

6+ years of expertise developing software/firmware for industrial machines, with 3+ years work managing software that interfaces to CNC machines or motion control systems.

Innate abilities in C/C++ and Python, GIT, issue tracking, software design documenting, GUI implementations, and other pertinent tools of the trade.

Ability to research, scope, and apply geometrical functions in new toolpath generation algorithms.

Experience working with user interface designers to develop GUIs for Windows or embedded environments. IoT and cloud experience a plus.

Clear history for getting things done and demonstrated track record for participating in a structured development process including: planning for test, successive releases, issue management.

Demonstrated ability to appreciate multidisciplinary problems and tackle technical challenges with creativity, where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of a variety of factors.

Bachelors or Masters in software, mechanical, physics, or related engineering field. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrated through interactions with peers and management.
