Job Summary
Reporting to the CNO, the Nursing Director will direct and manage the operations and activities of the 40-bed Critical Care Department: 16 Intensive Care (ICU) beds, 8 Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) beds and 16 Progressive Care (PCU) beds with 75 FTEs.
As part of Northwest's 66M capital investment initiative, the Critical Care department will be expanding by 22 beds in the next year and a half to meet the growing needs of the community.
Qualifications
Education:
- BSN required, Master's preferred
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- FL RN Licensure or recognized Compact Licensure
- BCLS, ACLS certifications required CCRN preferred
Experience/ Skills:
- 7+ years nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Must have 3+ years progressive managerial experience
- Must have Director level experience
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of guidelines and requirement or applicable Regulatory agencies such as JCAHO, AHCA, OSHA

Job Summary and QualificationsCoordinates nursing services and accepts organizational accountability for services provided 24/7. The CNM Provides leadership and supervision of personnel including fostering a climate conducive to learning and development. Assumes responsibility for staffing and scheduling with appropriate utilization of personnel.
What qualifications you will need:- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Minimum 3 years of Critical Care clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting
