The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing maintenance and technical support for service and repair of production and ancillary equipment at the Chelsea MA facility. You will support spray drying and downstream operations by providing quality, compliant and timely equipment service to prevent excessive down-time and ensure optimum equipment operation. The Maintenance Technician also provides technical assistance to operators.
**This is a full-time on-site salaried role: work hours Wednesday - Sunday weekly from 6am-2:30pm with periodic overtime as necessary. NOTE: Training period for 3 months will be completed Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm.**

**Job Description**
We are seeking a mechanically inclined Equipment Maintenance Technician who is proficient in using basic hand tools. Knowledge in basic electronics is considered a plus. The role involves troubleshooting laser systems, setting up jobs by following work schedules or priorities, and maintaining a safe condition for both the laser systems and the production area by adhering to equipment operating procedures. The candidate should understand and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, drawings, travelers, and operating manuals. Regular reporting on operation status, schedule progress, and key assigned projects is required. The ideal candidate is a highly effective communicator, enjoys a team approach over individual contributions, and supports and enforces company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot laser systems as needed.
+ Set up jobs by following work schedules or priorities.
+ Maintain a safe condition for the laser systems and the production area by following equipment operating procedures.

**Work Environment**
This role is set in a production and cleanroom environment, involving lots of automated laser equipment. The work schedule includes shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, with options for a morning shift (5:45 AM - 2:15 PM) or a graveyard shift (9:45 PM - 6:15 AM).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.
Pay: $27-$7 (depending on experience)
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is 27.00 - 38.00/hr.

**We are looking for an** **Equipment Maintenance Technician** **to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to** **Equipment Maintenance Manager** **in** **Fremont, CA.**
**Role and Responsibilities:**
+ Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment in Stack Manufacturing
+ Perform machine installations or modification per instructions
+ Execute and track preventive maintenance activities
+ Evaluate equipment and create maintenance procedures as requested
+ Suggest improvements for tool set
+ Help implement upgrades to machines
+ Assist with manufacturing when required
+ Support equipment testing and engineering group
+ Ensure proper Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) compliance
**Skills and Experience:**
+ 10 - 12 years' experience in a high capacity manufacturing environment.
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
+ Experience with Automated Equipment.
+ Good Attendance, Initiative, responsible follow through and a willingness to help.
+ Strong trouble-shooting skills required.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator.
+ Able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
+ Must have computer skills, minimum Microsoft office.
+ Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools, previous experience with p.c. based testing equipment is preferred.
+ Excellent hand and eye coordination is needed.
+ Complete tasks within standard times with minimum supervision.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
+ Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
+ Must be able to work in a fast pace manufacturing environment.
+ Must be flexible with changing shift or work schedule.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
+ Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. at a time
+ Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed
