In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world's biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden's largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.
The Product Manager of the US Charging & Energy Digital Ecosystem will be responsible for defining the overall roadmap of technical solutions required to execute Einride's US strategy for energy and charging infrastructure programs. This PM will act as a lead in the US Energy & Charging Infrastructures team, as well as a key supporting role in market intelligence for the competitive landscape of energy markets and charge point operations within North America. The role will require the ability to seek out leading market indicators, clearly lay out the short and long term market opportunities, and assess the make or buy criteria by which Einride will assemble the critical digital ecosystem needed to pursue these market opportunities.
You will
- EV infrastructure design specification review, with intent to identify Einride product solutions and cost modeling data needed for sales proposals
- Operations and vendor team support in generation of quotation technical material, including: -High level distributed energy asset design review, including the administration of vendor and investor partner participation in the feasibility phase for each project. -High level charging solution design review, to serve a fleet charging profile. -Vendor quotation solicitation, to define cost baselines and budget for infrastructure
- Project cost modeling, cashflows, and capitalized estimates of long term revenue contracting for charging hub operations
- Maintain and report on opportunities, energy demand forecast, and overall pipeline development for developed hubs and 3rd party contracting
- Support the management team with go/no go decisions on opportunity pursuits, based on alignments to E&CI business unit goals for growth and customer centered solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, with experience in the renewable energy industry. Preferences for experience in IPP origination and/or MEP management.
- A minimum 3 years of experience in leading power equipment applications, construction cost estimation of electrical projects, low voltage/BESS/DERs/EV charging technology, or related electrical solution design experiences
- A minimum of 2 years of experience participating or leading commercial contracting, vendor selection and sourcing, and the performative monitoring of those vendor relationships
- Optimal candidates have experience in electric vehicle charging technologies, where they've had responsibility to determine the appropriate hardware or overall charging hub configurations, with preferences for candidates having exposure to medium duty or heavy duty fleet applications
- Proven experience in managing and creating vendor contracts, bid material, and solicitationsProven experience in managing critical customer relationships and communication
- Basic understanding of structured financing, XaaS revenue modeling, and/or equipment leasing
- Preferences for candidates with experience working with EPC, design-build firms, property developers, and/or Charge Point Operator networks
This position may require light internal and physical site travel, to gain the level of competencies required to act as the localized expert for charging solution engineering. However, the role is a remote working role, to be supported within the eastern or central US time zones. This position will report directly to the VP of E&CI for Einride's North American business. Are you excited about the impact that optimizing deep learning models can have on enabling transformative user experiences? The field of ML compression research continues to grow rapidly and new techniques to perform quantization, pruning etc are increasingly available to be ported and adopted by the ML developer community, that is looking to ship more models in a constrained memory budget and make them run faster. We are passionate about productizing and pushing the envelope of the state of the art of model optimization algorithms, to further compress and speed up the thousands of models shipping as part of Apple internal and external apps, running locally on millions of Apple devices.
We are a team that collaborates heavily with researchers, ML software and hardware architecture teams and external/internal product teams shipping models on Apple devices. If you are excited about making a big impact and playing a critical role in growing the user base and driving the adoption of a relatively new library, this is a great opportunity for you.
We are looking for someone who is highly self motivated and passionate about optimizing models for on device execution. If you have a proven track record of developing and working with the internals of an ML python library, writing high quality code and shipping software, we strongly encourage you to apply.
**Description**
We work on a python library that implements a variety of training time and post training quantization algorithms and provides them to developers as simple to use, turnkey APIs, and ensures that these optimizations work seamlessly with the Core ML inference stack and Apple hardware. Our algorithms are implemented using PyTorch. We optimize models across domains, including NLP, vision, text, generative models etc.
In this role, the Model Optimization Engineer will be an expert in understanding the internal workings of PyTorch, graph capturing and graph editing mechanisms, methods to observe and modify intermediate activations and weights, tensor subclasses, custom ops, different types of parallelism for training models, and use this knowledge to implement and update the core infrastructure of the optimization library which enables an efficient and scalable implementation of various classes of compression algorithms. You'll also set up and debug training jobs, datasets, evaluation, performance benchmarking pipelines.
Additionally, you will.
- Design and develop the core infrastructure which powers the implementations of various compression algorithms (training time, post training, data free, calibration data based etc)
- Implement the latest algorithms from research papers for model compression in the optimization library.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers, from the ML compiler inference stack, to co-develop new compression operations, and model export flows for on device deployment.
- Design clean, intuitive, maintainable APIs
- Run detailed experiments and ablation studies to profile algorithms on various models and tasks, across different model sizes.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelors in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline.
+ 3+ years of industry and/or research experience
+ Highly proficient in Python programming
+ Proficiency in at least one ML authoring framework, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, MLX
+ Experience in the area of model compression and quantization techniques, specially in one of the optimization libraries for an ML framework (e.g. torch.ao).
+ Ability to ramp up quickly on new training code bases and run experiments.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Demonstrated ability to design user friendly and maintainable APIs
+ Experience in training, fine tuning, and optimizing neural network models
+ Primary contributor to a model optimization/compression library.
+ Self prioritize and adjust to changing priorities and asks
+ Improving model optimization documentation, writing tutorials and guides
+ Good communication skills, including ability to communicate with cross-functional audiences
