Job Description
The Chemical Process and Analytical Development (CPAD) group located in Bothell, WA is responsible for the development of chemical processes and analytical methods for novel Drug-Linkers (Linker-Payloads) used in Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs). Our process chemists, analytical chemists, and chemical engineers collaborate to discover phase-appropriate synthetic routes and chemical processes to accelerate the delivery of life saving medicines to patients, and to develop robust and innovative synthetic processes to novel commercial Drug-Linker Candidates that drive the next generation of targeted cancer therapy.
As a Principal Scientist in CPAD, you will provide technical leadership to a team of process chemists engaged in route screening/selection, process development, and process characterization for our growing Drug-Linker portfolio. You will drive the development of safe and scalable chemistry by leveraging state-of-the-art technologies such as high-throughput experimentation, data-rich experimentation, catalysis, continuous processing, and predictive technologies. You will spearhead the advancement of Pfizer's Oncology portfolio through personal laboratory effort as well as oversee external resources through technology transfer and campaign execution at CDMOs. You will serve as a technical and strategic leader for early and late-phase programs while mentoring junior staff members in a supportive and inclusive work environment. You will propose technical and strategic solutions to Management and represent process chemistry in cross-functional teams requiring excellent communication skills. **Basic Qualifications**

-Lead idea generation for innovative design/process solutions to the most impactful existing operational problems
-Create documentation to share innovative design/process solutions, such as specification document, process maps, design standards, etc.
-Generate structured plan to turn innovative design/process solutions from ideas to assessment, pilot and finally expansion
-Own and deliver against plans for the most challenging problems, providing network reporting, financial approval and leadership approval for all stages of program progression
-Act as senior technical expert in area of ownership, providing technical expertise to other Engineering teams, alongside providing technical challenge for suppliers and partners
-Build large-scale business proposals based on innovation designs for WW Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with WHS, Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget)
-Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible
-Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including owning road-mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered
-Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving the operational execution of software enhancements as well as ensuring the software supports the physical design/process innovations
-Up to 50% regional and WW travel depending on business needs
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, OR a related field OR 2+ years Amazon experience
-10+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupation of Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or relate
-5+ years experience managing a successful team of engineers
-Experience must involve technical leadership for large-scale engineering project
-Experience with MHE and packaging lines or process design
Preferred Qualifications
-MBA, MSc or MEng (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent)
-Certified OE Black Belt or Green Belt
-Expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other OE tools
-Experience in developing specifications for logistic software
-Advanced data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g. Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, MS Access, SQL
-Knowledge and ability to use standard design and development tools e.g. AutoCAD, MS Visio

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. This individual will be the owner of a process/product roadmap and ensuring delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery station. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazons growth to drive end to end product delivery from inception to execution. We are looking for a hands-on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high dollar value programs.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech as well as Operations and Safety to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station.
Responsibilities include:
- Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
- Work closely with a partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products
- Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
- Lead execution of the product with high-level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
- Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap. Own a part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
- Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
- 30% travel based on business needs
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- 8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation
- Experience developing and designing equipment
- Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field
- Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects
- Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet programs
- Experience with design and/or implementation automation solutions, such as Conveyors, Sorters, high speed manufacturing and packaging lines, Robotic work cells
- Proven technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or program
