Process Design Engineer - Mechanical Systems
Reporting to the Director of Design Engineering, the Process Design Engineer will assist in the scoping, design, commissioning, and operational documentation and training of process equipment for food de-packaging and anaerobic digestion systems.
Moderate travel (~25 travel, project dependent), within the US, will be required to support facilities, projects, and commissioning.

Process Design Engineer - Mechanical Systems
Reporting to the Director of Design Engineering, the Process Design Engineer will assist in the scoping, design, commissioning, and operational documentation and training of process equipment for food de-packaging and anaerobic digestion systems.

What You'll Do:
- Issue requests for proposals (RFPs) and manage technology/vendor selection for process equipment, machinery, instrumentation, valves, etc.
- Work closely with vendors, contractors, and internal disciplines throughout project scope development, design reviews, and execution and ensuring seamless integration with the balance of plant and standards of design
- Understand impacts of design decisions on safety, product specifications, project scope, and permitting. Work cross-functionally to ensure that all such considerations are understood
- Data driven approach to supporting optimization, troubleshooting, and constraint busting for existing facilities
- Document control narratives and communicate process needs to controls team
- Develop commissioning plans and assisting in commissioning and start-up
- Develop procedures for turnover to operations
- Screen alternative and/or novel equipment options.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or similar from an accredited program
- 5 to 7 years experience in designing and/or operating industrial processes, particularly within anaerobic digestion, waste handling, bulk materials, wastewater, and/or RNG
- Strong engineering fundamentals, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
- Desire to continue to grow their career with a progressive and entrepreneurial organization
- Compensation Range: $120 - $140K annually
