Bagel Brands

Bagel Brands is the parent company for your favorite breakfast brands, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Bruegger's Bagels, Noah's NY Bagels, and Manhattan Bagel. We believe in the bagel and how it has the unique ability to bring people together. Our team has a standard set of values and behaviors that allow us to spread a little more joy and happiness in the world. They let us laugh, smile, and enjoy each other’s company a little more. These are the behaviors that guide how we work, how we treat each other, and how we treat our guests. We believe that there is no better way to make someone’s day than with a warm, fresh-baked bagel and a heart-felt good morning.

Company Background

As the nation’s largest operator of bagel bakeries and a leader in the fast-casual segment of the restaurant industry, Bagel Brands specializes in high-quality foods for breakfast and lunch, in a bakery café atmosphere, with a neighborhood emphasis. Product offerings include fresh bagels with shmear, made-to-order sandwiches, sweets and other baked goods, and specialty coffees. Bagel Brands is a collection of four bagel-focused concepts, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Bruegger’s Bagels, Noah’s New York Bagels, and Manhattan Bagels.

Bagel Brands is part of a portfolio of complementary brands bound by common values, Panera Brands, comprised of Panera Bread, Caribou Coffee and Bagel Brands. Panera Brands companies are independently operated and united in their mission to be force multipliers for good for their guests, communities, the planet, and the shareholders they serve. Bagel Brands operates autonomously, under the leadership of their own executive team and shares some resources with a sister company (Caribou Coffee) in a shared service model, primarily around accounting and IT functions.

Bagel Brands operates over 1000 retail locations nationwide including 540+ company-owned bakeries and 460 franchised or licensed locations. The business achieves nearly $700 million in top-line sales and is targeting a 6% to 7% annual growth rate. Additionally, they have a CPG line that can be found in over 5000 locations across the U.S. and in six foreign countries. Over the last five years, Bagel Brands undertook a retail transformation, greatly simplifying the menu and in-store management structure to enable a single-shift model. This change resulted in retail same-store-sales significantly outperforming the industry. Moreover, the single shift model has greatly enhanced diversity among bakery leaders and has supported turnover metrics that fall well below industry averages.

At Bagel Brands, everyone’s mission is to help others own the morning. Team Members focus on providing the best possible guest experience – to fuel a great day with a craveable and convenient breakfast inspired by a rich bagel tradition, one guest at a time. The culture at Bagel Brands is defined by a guest obsessed, supportive and accountable team, while focusing on creating joyful moments where each employee can thrive. Although the brands are unique in their own respect, they share attributes of being high-quality, bold, colorful, cheerful, neighborly, optimistic, and energetic.
