We are seeking a Vice President of Product Management who has delivered products that customer love, revenue enabling strategies and user experiences that engage technical and non-technical users in sales, finance, IT and operations. This role is accountable to drive the overall SPM portfolio into the future, including product management, user experience, user assistance, and overall product strategy for our best in breed sales performance management solutions. This role will play a crucial part in shaping the user experience, ensuring seamless product adoption and consumption, and driving business growth and retention. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in SaaS product management, experience in a product-led organization, and a passion for delivering high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our best in breed Sales Performance Management solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
+ Lead design/UX, user assistance, and overall product management efforts to create intuitive, high-value experiences with connected and automated processes for customers. Incorporate SAPs global adoption and experience strategy into our solutions, maximizing the internal understanding of customer adoption, usage patterns, and opportunities.
+ Collaborate across all functions - Sales, pre-sales, post-sales, support, services, engineering and operations - and leverage internal feedback to further influence and define the strategy and roadmap, while also identifying areas of incremental opportunities.
+ Drive roadmap planning, both annual as well as interval (quarterly). Incorporate operations efforts and priorities that also consume engineering capacity. Lead the process to manage the product backlog, leveraging customer insights, data analysis, and market trends to inform decision-making.
+ Define and track key performance metrics to measure product success, engagement, adoption and consumption. Ensure corporate product standards are delivered, where applicable, within our solutions
+ Serve as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback from users, sales teams, and stakeholders to refine and optimize product offerings to drive growth and retention.
+ Advocate for and implement best practices in product-led growth, ensuring a frictionless user journey.
+ Lead and mentor a team of product managers, and UA, UX professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
+ 7 years of leading SaaS product management team(s) in a product-led environment, managing a team, with a proven track record of success.
+ Evidence of and strong desire to create breakthrough innovation that leads to competitive advantages and potential market disruption
+ Deep expertise in UX principles, user discovery, market trend analysis, competitive landscape, user assistance processes, and customer-centric product development.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure success.
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience influencing stakeholders and collaborating across teams.
+ Ability to develop and execute a strategic product roadmap that aligns with business objectives.
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools such as Jira, Aha!, or similar platforms.
+ Familiarity with product management, adoption and usage metrics and tools
+ Ability to build and maintain strategic and cross-functional partnerships across SPM, SAP, with partners and customers
+ Ability to prioritize across conflicting needs of various stakeholders and influence ideal

DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Strategy & Development
- Develops and applies strategies to execute the business plan to achieve desired results (i.e., to increase client base, gross production, Portfolio Management assets, performance tracking, etc.)
- Identifies business opportunities
- Supports Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor practice management through book analysis and determination of appropriate strategies
- Creates potential strategies to further enhance client relationships based on concerns and opportunities identified during client visits
- Engages in strategic planning with other team members on client matters
- Interacts regularly with the Complex Business Development Manager
- Partners with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor on investment recommendations and prepares reports and plans that align with client goals
- Takes accountability for optimizing business practices while adhering to best business ethics and practices
- Seeks opportunities to grow business by capitalizing on Firm initiatives
- Focuses on building strong relationships with corporate departments and strategic partners
- Evaluates, develops and implements new services in conjunction with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor and other team members
- Stays attuned to updates and enhancements to firm products and policies
- Actively engages clients and prospects to build relationships, identify needs and review investment goals
- Leads team to establish and cultivate relationships with new and existing clients and proactively helps to resolve issues and concerns
- May regularly accompany senior team members to engage with clients to educate about the firms services and products
- Serves as a client contact for administrative problem resolution and fielding general client questions on a spectrum of topics
- Proactively shares targeted communications with clients leveraging digital tools available (e.g., share account information, newsletters containing opportunities, new offerings and other events)
Education and/or Experience
- 5+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position required
- Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred
- Active Series 7 (GS), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA)
- Additional product licenses may be required
- Enjoys working with people and problem solving
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of applicable compliance rules, regulations and firm policies
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $50k and $15k per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
