Product Engineering Co-Op:
+ Cultivate untapped value of our product through an analysis of large amount of customer use profile data.
+ Improve current design or product base on design for manufacturability
+ Lead cross-functional team to complete quality improvements/initiatives
+ Researching new opportunities to add to specials portfolio to board customer base
+ Complete analysis of an update to an industry standard or code required for sustained products
Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op:
+ Analyzing production times and developing job breakdown sheets
+ Implementing manufacturing process improvement: metal forming/fabrication, CNC machining operations, mechanical assembly, welding robotics, flame/induction brazing, etc.
+ Assisting with new capital equipment purchases, involving business case support and equipment research
+ Support product performance testing
Quality Engineering Co-Op:
+ Quality system development for new products and existing products
+ Partnering with Internal Audit for process improvement and documenting quality procedures
+ Analyzing processes, documentation, and production for quality improvement
+ Ad-hoc projects based on skill-level, degree, or general interest
Electrical Engineering Co-Op:

Co-Ops can be placed in various functions of the business from working in our Brewing Depts where they will have close ties to the process in which BEER is made! Opportunities may also be in our Packaging Dept to work with how the BEER is packaged in cans bottles or kegs, other areas may be in our Logistics group to work with teams on the distribution of our final product, our Utilities Dept to work behind the scenes with all the commodities that help getting the job done or lastly you may have the opportunity to work on our Zone Team and help implement an initiative for process improvements across our 12 locations.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ As a Co-Op you will step into the shoes of a full-time role at the brewery. You will be assigned project(s) that will result in process improvement and be responsible for reporting out on deliverables.
+ Use Lean Manufacturing techniques to accomplish tasks within project scope
+ Shift work may be required to understand the full scope of the project.

We believe in investing in our future leaders today, in your Co-Op you will have the opportunity to have an in-depth exposure to our supply business operations and relevant experiences right from the start, our program is designed to accelerate the careers of future leaders and change makers. The program takes place over the course of 6-months; however, we are flexible to adjust as necessary based on the external environment and business needs. Throughout the program, Co-Ops will gain a 360 view of the supply business while gaining experience, as well as flexing creative and analytical muscles through project work in the brewery segment.
Co-Ops can be placed in various functions of the business from working in our Brewing Depts where they will have close ties to the process in which BEER is made! Opportunities may also be in our Packaging Dept to work with how the BEER is packaged in cans bottles or kegs, other areas may be in our Logistics group to work with teams on the distribution of our final product, our Utilities Dept to work behind the scenes with all the commodities that help getting the job done or lastly you may have the opportunity to work on our Zone Team and help implement an initiative for process improvements across our 12 locations.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ As a Co-Op you will step into the shoes of a full-time role at the brewery. You will be assigned project(s) that will result in process improvement and be responsible for reporting out on deliverables.
+ Use Lean Manufacturing techniques to accomplish tasks within project scope
+ Shift work may be required to understand the full scope of the project.
+ Bring your authentic self to work every day, lead with humility and drive top performance in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
+ Build relationships with operators and technicians in respective areas for aid in projects
+ Development opportunities to help boost skillset and build long-term leadership potential.
+ Upon successful completion of the co-op, you will be given the opportunity to present your final project(s) and results to our members of Zone senior leadership.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Current university student or recent university graduate - Bachelor's Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
+ A background in Engineering, Science, or Environmental/Safety may help but all majors are accepted.
+ Geographical & Functional mobility - open to experiencing different functions and locations across the U.S. during the 6-month Co-Op.
+ Our breweries are 24/7 - 365 day a year facilities which requires alternating shift work for trainees who enter the program. **Must have flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, & overtime.**
+ Must have the ability to walk up and down elevated catwalks and stairs, stand for long periods of time, and work in all environmental conditions including extreme temperatures.
+ Ability to leverage data and insights to provide effective solutions to complex problems.
+ Can demonstrate leadership capabilities in previous work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
+ Self-motivated to drive results and deliver above and beyond expectations.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
+ Under guidance, conducts operation of small-scale manufacturing equipment (AKTA chromatography system, harvest technology, filtrations) used for purification process development and characterization runs;
+ Supports process development activities to improve manufacturing process for better efficiency, lower cost of goods and higher product quality;
+ Support process characterization for better understanding of parameter criticality for implementation into Clinical Manufacturing / Commercial production and linked to process validation;
+ Supports lab material preparation, execution and data recording for the process development and characterization studies;
+ Support product testing and data analysis of the development samples generated from development studies;
+ Troubleshoots experiments, assay or procedures;
+ Collects and compiles data and records in laboratory notebook and ensures that laboratory notebooks are consistently updated, audited and well-maintained;
+ Attends and participates in regularly scheduled meetings.
**WHO YOU ARE**

Required Qualifications:
+ Enrolled in a Graduate program in chemical engineering, biological engineering biochemistry or related fields;
+ Understanding of general laboratory/ safety practices;
+ Familiar with AKTA chromatography system and filtration techniques;
+ Ability to follow up on daily assignments;
+ Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions in the performance of experiments, assays, and/or method development procedures;
+ Ability to solve scientific problems with deductive reasoning;
+ Ability to summarize, interpret, and review experimental data for accuracy;
+ Basic understanding of cGMPs;
+ Good verbal and written communication skills;
+ Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite of software (Word, Excel);
+ Ability and desire to be a good team-player of a project team;
+ Ability to lift 25 pounds;
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiar with design of experiments (DOE) concept and tools.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $36.80 to $46.30. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
