Position Summary:
The EPD/Security Officer provides patient and visitor greetings, Guides patients seeking emergency care to the areas to sign in for triage. Screens patients before they are seen in triage using a portable or fixed metal detector. Provides a high visibility of security for the ED, Triage and Admissions areas. This position provides directions for all visitors and patients using the emergency department entrance. This position will assist contract security officers during heightened security events. The position will also screen after hour visitors and work with patient care areas in communicating visitor requests.
Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Colorado Law Enforcement Officer/POST Certified.
B. Education:
Law Enforcement training/education equal to or above the required Colorado Law Enforcement Officer/POST Certification training.
C. Experience:
1-2 years experience in law enforcement and must be currently employed as a Colorado law enforcement officer.
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Organizational Expectations:
As a law enforcement unit officer, you will observe, study, and assist Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers to learn the job skills required to enforce federal laws and Federal Reserve policies and regulations to protect life, property, and assets. General Responsibilities:
Develop skills necessary to control the admittance and departure of employees, visitors, vehicles, and packages to and from the building.

- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service by responding to or contacting complainants, victims, and suspects.
- Conduct preliminary investigations and take initial report/complaint. Prepare and submit required reports consistent with Division policy.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records for files, follow-up investigations, and court purposes. Take command at crime scenes or accidents and administer first aid.
- Remain compliant with all FRS and Bank training requirements and maintains Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer certification.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Law Enforcement Records Specialists work in one of three areas: Court Support Team, Inmate Records Team, or Inmate Processing Team. Court Support works closely with Patrol Deputies/Officers, managing Warrants, No-Contact Orders and Protection Orders. Inmate Records works closely with Detention Deputies and Patrol Deputies/Officers from all agencies in Ada County. Inmate Records manages court paperwork, video court, and inmates' records. They also scan documents and handle a high volume of customers at our front counter. Inmate Processing works with Patrol Deputies/Officers from all agencies and Detention Deputies. Inmate Processing manages booking of inmates and is responsible for securing inmate property, running criminal histories for classification of inmates and provides customer service in our jail lobby. All three of these positions require skills in customer service, typing, and data entry. No degree or experience required. You will attend a 5-week training academy. Work is performed under well-established guidelines set forth by State and Federal law. The scope of work requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail. These positions interact extensively with law enforcement officers, the courts, attorneys, and jail management staff. These positions are in the Ada County Sheriffs Office, Administrative Services Bureau.

Accurately review, index, and process various types of legal requests from global law enforcement
Participate in on-call rotation for law enforcement emergency requests and internal escalations, which requires working atypical weekday hours, some weekend days and/or holidays each month
View and action reported content as needed. Reported content can be graphic so you must be comfortable viewing graphic content.
Handle inbound and outbound calls from law enforcement, providing helpful and empathetic support within policy guidelines
Review team members work product and provide feedback as a core part of the role
Create and lead internal training sessions on an as-needed basis

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. NATURE OF WORK
Under general supervision, performs administrative and clerical work of moderate difficulty, in the maintenance and retrieval of criminal justice reports, records, warrants, and related materials; this position has department specific responsibilities.
Nature of Work
(Illustrative Only): Receives and reviews submitted law enforcement reports/warrants for validity, accuracy and completeness; contacts and consults with law enforcement officers, courts, supervisors, the public, or various criminal justice agencies as needed regarding report/warrant discrepancies; processes all requests for law enforcement reports or records, and reviews all submitted documents for correctness prior to dissemination to authorized personnel, State or Federal entities; receives, logs, updates and inputs warrants daily; confirms validation of warrants on prisoners booked into the Yuma County Detention or prisoners detained by other law enforcement agencies wanted by Yuma County; coordinates extradition of fugitives wanted by Yuma County or other law enforcement agencies by acting as a liaison; coordinates travel arrangements with Yuma County Detention personnel, other agencies, or contractors to extradite fugitives to/from Yuma County; prepares required documents and medical history in order to facilitate the extradition of fugitives; maintains and tracks warrant files for in-custody prisoners in other counties or states to verify Yuma County detainer is in place in order to facilitate future extradition; verifies and enters data of criminal activity information from various sources into computerized criminal justice information systems (ACJIS, ACIC/NCIC, etc.), or tracking systems to add, update modify or purge information; Enters general information (user agency address and authorization), into a computerized tracking system in order to originate, update, reconcile, transfer or track data; performs redaction of requested police reports, body camera footage, and audio recordings based upon the Federal Freedom of Information Act, state and local laws, and guidelines pertaining to the security of personal and/or law enforcement sensitive information; files, retrieves and maintains a variety of information (e.g. approved/denied applications, accident/offense/incident reports, offender documents, warrants, etc.) to ensure compliance with state and federal laws to fill requests from internal and external sources; assists with record retention; performs local background checks for law enforcement agencies and the public; prepares warrant files/worksheets; assigns active warrants; confirms, clears, cancels, modifies all warrants and distributes via fax or email; sends and receives teletypes; replies to Hot File confirmations; enters into NCIC; monthly Hot File validation; monitors teletype inquiries for criminal history information in order to ensure prompt response, take appropriate action, and ensure other law enforcement agencies respond appropriately and within time limit parameter in accordance with state laws; sends and receives teletypes; coordinates administrative hearings for impounded vehicles; verifies customer has valid driver's license, insurance and registration through NCIC; prepares and provides vehicle impound release form in order to facilitate tow company's release of vehicle; collects and processes payments for records requested by the general public, attorneys and other law enforcement agencies; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, cases, and Sheriff's Office information; assists in collecting statistical data and compiling data for reports; assists with Sex Offenders Program, as needed; regular and reliable attendance; performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; plus coursework in administrative/office procedures, AND three (3) years of administrative/office work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be level "A" ACJIS Network Terminal Operator Certified or obtain certification within six (6) months of hire. Preferred typing/keying skills of at least 55 WPM.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: May be required to successfully complete a background check, polygraph, and drug test prior to appointment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The YCEBT is a self-funded medical plan administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona (BCBSAZ). The employee is able to select from three (3) medical plan options with six (6) tiers that will best suit the employee's needs, dependents or families.
Plan Option 1: Preferred Provider Option A (PPO) or PPO A 1100 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a 30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.
Plan Option 2: Preferred Provider Option B (PPO) or PPO B 1,500 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a 30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.

Southwest Service Administrator (SSA) Mexico PPO Health Plan: SSA is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan A and PPO Plan B. The SSA Plan pays 100% of hospital, medical, laboratory and prescription drug benefits, to a maximum of 5,000 per person per calendar year ( 10,000 for two or more family members).
