Main Ingredients of the Job
Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
What You Bring to the Table
Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $24 - $27 per hour.
As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, retention bonus, component pay.

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dependable and organized Class A Commercial Truck Driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina for success in this role. The candidate must have the ability to work longer hours as needed, be on the road daily, and consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries of modular homes. Candidate must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record. The candidate will have great communication skills to help in relay and coordination of deliveries as a valued and contributing member of the Ritz-Transportation team.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties :
- Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
- Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.
- Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
- Ensure units are properly fastened to the frames
- Safely and efficiently park units at jobsites or dealer lots
- Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Complete and Comply with Electronic Logging Devices and regulations
- Perform inspections of your vehicle and unit prior to and following each trip
- Contact Delivery Person at the time of Departure and 1 hour from delivery
- Maintain a clean truck, inside and out
- Notify Garage of any issues with the truck
- Be available for trips during daylight hours
- Notify managers of any major delivery issues encountered
- Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery paperwork
- Hire pilot cars as needed to complete moves
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
- Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
- Always make safety a priority
- Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
- Take photos of any delays during transport, as well as photos of every side of the unit before unhooking at delivery
- Upload photos and maintain communication on our company app
Required Skills :
- Valid Class A driver's license
- 1+ year CDL driving experience preferred
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must pass a background check and Drug Test and randoms
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- High level of composure and good stress management
- Great communication skills
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
