**What You'll Do**
**Job Summary:** Generally responsible for performing construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
**Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:**
+ A leader in safety on assigned projects including setting safety and environmental performance expectations of contractors and holding them accountable through standard daily walkthroughs.
+ In cooperation with the site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) organization, accountable for securing safe work permits for contractors, ensuring all applicable daily permits are in place before the start of work, and monitoring compliance with required permits throughout the day.
+ Maintains an active presence in the field during construction activity and site turnarounds
+ Promotes a strong culture of safety by partnering with the site EHS team to monitor, audit, and coach field contractors on safe work best practices.
+ Monitors construction productivity and schedule performance of their assigned projects while providing feedback on risks identified to the site Construction Manager
+ Able to communicate construction status effectively with site Project Managers and Project Stakeholders
+ Ability to communicate daily construction updates to the Projects Scheduler so a schedule of values can be maintained for their assigned projects
+ Able to manage and prioritize the works of multiple field contractors simultaneously to ensure project deliverables are met Other activities may be required depending on project change in scope which occurs during this contract duration.

**Ideal Background**
**Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.

The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy LNG projects. A client is looking for a Construction/Project Coordinator for a long term contract that is going to sit onsite at a new construction location in Louisville, KY. This employee will be responsible for assisting with managing the construction crew in the field to ensure compliance is maintained onsite. Their daily responsibilities include joining morning meetings to discuss project status and scope of work then will ensure the crew is fully briefed on the work. From that point they will identify the correct drawing to match the tasks which is why it is important this individual be able to read construction drawings. Throughout the day they will need to monitor the crew and ensure compliance is adhering to OSHA standards. At the end of their shift they will document all of their observations in a proprietary SharePoint system called Vipper. Lastly, this employee will have a rotating day and night shift which they will be able to coordinate based on their schedule. This role involves driving throughout the Nashville market identifying excavators that may be working near or around telecom plant.The ideal candidate will have a reliable vehicle, insurance, and valid drivers license. They will also be comfortable with driving throughout the area and speaking with contractors to understand the scope and duration of the project .
Responsibilities
- Drive our Fiber network daily looking for Construction working around existing telecom fiber plant.
- Determine if locate paint has is visible on the ground identifying our Clients' plant.
- Identify if the digging will have an impact on the Fiber network.
- Speak with the excavator to understand the scope and duration of the work.
- Work with the Special Response team (SRT Team) to make them aware of digging near plant.
- Fill out Field Construction verification form.
- Return the next day to verify if a 3rd party excavator has moved along the path and locate the follow path.
- Ensure "See something, say something: to include in the report, any temps on the ground, low hanging lines, etc.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of underground utilities experience is a plus.
- Bilingual preferred, Able to communicate clearly and ability to adjust delivery to your audience verbally.
- Willingness to use your vehicle in the field (mileage reimbursement at the standard federal rate).
- Perform job functions both indoors and outdoors rain or shine.

- Communicates and assist in the direction of contractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, materials and coordinating various types and phases of construction to meet company guidelines.
- Participates in execution of approved new build within the region including planning, tracking, workforce management and adherence to company construction standards.
- Supports communication and good working relationship with all local utilities, developers and permitting offices.
- Assists in preparation of construction proposals and cost analysis for internal and external projects. For example, Commercial Phone return on investment models.
- Coordinates construction personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and ensure construction standards.
- Assists Construction Coordinator inspecting work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
- Reviews and processes damages to the Bluepeak Network.
- Conducts construction activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.
- Ensures department's compliance with the Company's vehicle policy.

**What You Will Need:**
- Highschool diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Previous copper telephone, fiber and coax network experience preferred.

+ Adhere to the company's safety programs and policies and assist others with compliance.
+ Assist the Project team in building client relationships while interfacing with the client for proposal and project related items.
+ Assist the Project Management team execute prime contracts, downstream contracts, and change orders.
+ Assist with the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Safety & Health plan, Subcontracting Plan, Project Staffing Plan, Organization Chart, and Procurement Plan.
+ Assist with jobsite set-up activities, including mobilization and demobilization.
+ Assist with securing applicable project permits.
+ Coordinate potential bidders' supplier/subcontractor registration and pre-qualification efforts on behalf of the Project Management team.
+ Assist the Project Management team to administer request for proposal (RFP) package development, bid and selection process, and develop detailed scope of work documents for downstream contracts.
+ Assist with contract administration including request for information (RFI's), submittals, change management, and claims mitigation for subcontractors and/or client contractors
+ Support and assist with project controls efforts, including project cost reporting, scheduling, project work breakdown structure establishment, project set-up and closeout within the accounting system, and field progress tracking.
+ Assist with the development of internal and external reports including, project budgeting, cost reports, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports to all stakeholders.
+ Participate in project, corporate, and risk review meetings as needed, present as needed, and record and distribute meeting minutes.
+ Conduct project safety, quality, progress and financial audits and assessments as required.
+ Assist with the Prime Contract, subcontractor, and supplier invoicing process.
+ Establish and administer project documentation and filing systems.
+ Assist with the project turnover documentation, recordkeeping/retention, warranty administration and project closeout.
+ Assist with applicable onboarding of craft/field supervision.
+ Analyze and report composite crew rates to determine labor and equipment costs.
+ Assist with staffing on projects.
+ Analyze and monitor labor burdens including craft classifications, benefits and labor laws.
+ Maintain accurate craft classifications and craft progression records.
+ Uphold craft competency and training standards.
+ Assist with estimating, forecasting, and managing craft install unit rates.
+ Assist with managing earned value, schedule, change management and cost metrics.
+ Coordinate construction equipment to ensure adequate inventory to complete projects.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field. Required or
+ Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Required
+ Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
+ Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
+ Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
+ Must be able to meet company's driving requirements.
+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
