I am working to fill an outside sales role for a Pump and Motor distribution company. They also offer repair and field services in both industrial and municipal applications. This company has a great culture and an awesome leadership team!
The right candidate for the outside sales role has a positive attitude and is driven to make a difference. They will have strong ethics, integrity and the ability to do the right thing at all times.
OUTSIDE SALES PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Have a hunter mentality.
- Identify, qualify, and secure sales opportunities for our represented products, including new equipment, MRO, service and parts.
- Develop, nurture, and maintain close working relationships with the decision-makers with the assigned customers including those within EPC's and subcontracting firms.
- Influence and assist in preparing technical specifications for all entities on company’s represented products.
- Provide market intelligence to Inside Sales during quote preparation.
- Follow up and close quotes issued by Inside Sales.
- Promote sales and generate revenue from assigned accounts while meeting expectations.
- Demonstrated analytical skills required for technical review/resolution of customer issues.
- Conduct product/process lunch and learn sessions and provide training regularly to customers.
- 3-5 years demonstrated ability to successfully sell the assigned products in this geographical area.
- Ability to effectively present ideas and influence buying decisions
- A thorough and demonstrated knowledge of the processes involved in the municipal markets.
- Technical education and background
- Superior and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated analytical skills required for technical documents review and comment.
- Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Superior organizational skills - a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
- Rotating equipment - pumps and motors Electrical - VFD's, control panels
- Knowledge of oil and chemical terminal operations
- Knowledge of gas plant operations and equipment
