The Information Security Analyst leads efforts to strengthen and maintain the college's cybersecurity posture through advanced technical expertise and strategic oversight. This role is responsible for managing security operations, implementing protective measures, ensuring compliance, and addressing risks to safeguard digital infrastructure and sensitive data. Collaborating closely with leadership and IT teams, the analyst also develops policies, coordinates incident responses, and supports a secure, resilient technological environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)
Essential Job Functions:
- Strategic Security Planning and Policy Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with institutional goals.
- Create, review, and enforce college information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and provide detailed reports with recommendations to leadership.
- Advanced Security Management
- Administer and enhance security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and network access controls (NAC).
- Lead the implementation of advanced encryption standards (e.g., PCI 3.2, FIPS 140-2) to protect data transmission.
- Oversee the configuration, management, and optimization of security tools, including SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security platforms.
- Incident Response and Forensics
- In coordination with the Information Security Director, the Information Security Analyst serves as the primary technical lead for security incident response, including investigation, documentation, and resolution of breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Develop and execute forensic analysis processes, ensuring chain-of-custody protocols are followed.
- Design and maintain an updated incident response plan, ensuring coordination between IT and college departments.
- Risk Mitigation and Compliance
- Align IT security controls with industry standards such as NIST, ISO, FERPA, HIPAA, GLBA, and PCI-DSS.
- Analyze and mitigate security risks by conducting penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitor and respond to evolving federal and state cybersecurity laws and regulations.
- Cybersecurity Awareness and Training
- Expand and lead the college's Cybersecurity Awareness Program by developing training materials and conducting workshops for faculty, staff, and students.
- Communicate technical security issues in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Leadership and Project Management
- Lead or collaborate on multiple security-related projects, including system upgrades, audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Provide technical recommendations and mentorship to IT staff, interns, and colleagues.
- Support the Director of Information Security at internal and external meetings, as required.
- Threat Monitoring and Response
- Analyze and address vulnerabilities identified through tools such as Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, IDS, and other tools.
- Monitor system logs and security alerts to identify potential threats and ensure timely remediation.
- Design and implement proactive measures to protect against common attack vectors and indicators of compromise.
- Analyze violations of computer security procedures and discuss procedures with violators to ensure violations are not repeated.
- Security Architecture and Integration
- Collaborate with IT teams to design secure network and system architectures.
- Evaluate new security technologies and oversee their deployment to meet organizational needs.
- Manage and optimize cloud security for services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Specific Functional Job Requirements
Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree in related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of network or security-related experience, including design, configuration, and incident response. Demonstrated expertise in managing security systems (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, etc.). Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, auditing tools, and SIEM platforms. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities.
- CompTIA Security+, CISA, SSCP, GCIH, or equivalent.
- Commitment to pursuing advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or GIAC).
Skills: Understanding of computer and network hardware, peripheral hardware and software such as printers, overhead projection equipment, copiers, fax machines, knowledge of software packages, and the ability to evaluate all forms of computer based technologies for security vulnerabilities.
Personal: Ability to work with others, communicate both written and orally, set daily, monthly, and annual schedules, self motivated, and possess organizational skills.
Physical: Able to perform required position responsibilities which could at times require moving and setting up computer equipment and working extended hours.

Support and Supervisory Staff

Vacation Hours
Full-time support and supervisory employees earn 80 hours of vacation time during their first full year of employment. For each additional year of employment, support staff employees receive an additional 8 hours, up to a maximum of 160 hours. Hours are accrued monthly and can be taken in hourly increments. Hours start accruing from the first day of employment, although employees must complete their 90-day probationary period before using vacation time. There is a maximum carryover of 80 hours into a new fiscal year.
Sick Hours
Full-time support and supervisory employees earn 96 hours of sick time each year. Hours are accrued monthly (8 hours per month) and can be used in hourly increments. Sick leave may carry over and accumulate with no maximum.
Personal Hours
Full-time support and supervisory employees earn 40 hours of personal time each fiscal year. For employees who begin in the middle of a fiscal year, hours will be prorated. Personal time can be used in hourly increments. Any unused personal time will be transferred to sick leave at the end of the fiscal year.
Parental Leave
Paid parental leave of up to four (4) weeks for approved full-time employees with one (1) or more years of service.
Holidays
Lake Land College provides for nine paid holidays: January 1st, Friday Before Easter, Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, and December 25th.
College Closed Days and Summer Work Week
Except as may otherwise be provided, if the College establishes a four (4) day summer session work schedule, the standard work day, not including the lunch break, will be eight and one-half (8½) hours, which is equivalent to a thirty-four (34) hour work week, paid at forty (40).
In addition, there are six (6) paid College Closed days each year.
Tuition Waiver
Lake Land College offers tuition waivers for credit courses to current full-time employees, employee's spouse or civil union partner, and their unmarried dependents under age 23. Any fees associated with the classes are the responsibility of the employee.
Tuition Reimbursement
Full-time employees are entitled to a tuition reimbursement of $ 00 per credit hour with a maximum of 1200 a fiscal year to advance their education with a baccalaureate, masters, or doctoral degree. Reimbursement is available for courses in which a grade of C or better is received with verification through official transcripts.
Retirement
Lake Land College employees are members of the State Universities Retirement System (SURS). In addition, all SURS eligible employees will be auto-enrolled in the SURS Deferred Compensation (457b) plan at 3%.
(403)b/457(b) Retirement Savings Plans
Lake Land College offers a voluntary 403(b) plan and a 457(b) plan. Employees have the option of choosing from a variety of investment funds and can contribute on a pre-tax or post-tax basis. Employees can elect to enroll in a 403(b) and 457(b) plan at any time. The College offers an Employer Match of up to 3% of your gross salary based on certain criteria. Employees will be automatically enrolled in the SURS/Voya 457 plan, with the ability to opt out. Please refer to Board Policies 05.38 and 05.22 for criteria and guidelines.
Life and AD&D Insurance
Lake Land College provides full-time support and supervisory employees with 40,000 in life and AD&D insurance. Employees may also elect to purchase additional supplemental insurance for themselves, as well as spouse or civil union partner, and their dependent children. Spouses and dependents cannot exceed the amount of the employee's optional benefit.
Voluntary Benefits

What You'll do
As an International Trade Analyst, you will be overseeing and directing the shipment of international products, through establishing logistics networks and solutions that provide inbound transportation at optimal service levels and cost.
- Coordinate and oversee ocean import services for international goods.
- Manage the negotiation of rates and yearly contracts with international freight partners, ensuring rates stay competitive with the market.
- Measure logistics partner performance against developed KPIs.
- Regularly perform logistics analysis to determine cost efficient routing and lowest cost carriers, utilizing carrier capacity, rates, and performance history.

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting or managing EDI in a multi-ERP environment (Infor XA, Syteline, and/or Frontier preferred).
- Deep knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP).
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms like Conexiom.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with business and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to drive process improvement initiatives and manage vendor relationships.
- Project management and problem-solving skills.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Background in manufacturing or distribution.
- Experience with EDI platforms such as TrueCommerce, SPS Commerce, or similar.
- Experience in different ERP systems like Infor Syteline, SAP, etc.
- Familiarity with API/web service integrations relevant to automation tools.
Compensation:
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000.
Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
