About the Role
As a Benefits Analyst, you'll join xAI's benefits team, dedicated to delivering exceptional benefits to employees building one of the world's most groundbreaking AI products. Based in our New York, Memphis, or Bay Area office, you'll drive the administration and continuous improvement of benefits programs, primarily for the US while supporting international locations. Working with internal teams and external partners, you'll tackle complex challenges to streamline processes, ensure compliance with state, federal, and country-specific regulations, and enhance the employee experience. Expect to dive into designing new policies, optimizing program efficiency, and analyzing market trends to keep our benefits competitive, all while supporting xAI's mission to accelerate human scientific discovery through AI.
Responsibilities
- Help manage annual Open Enrollment including partnering with our benefits brokers to implement new plans, configuring the Benefits Administration System (Workday/Rippling), and communicating changes to employees
- Play a hands-on role updating our HRIS to ensure proper structure, alignment and interfacing with our carriers and vendors
- Respond to and resolve complex global benefit escalations
- Help manage the 401(k) plan including assisting the Benefits Program Manager with annual audits, testing and 5500 filing
- Partner with Payroll to perform audits on all benefit-related deductions including HSA contributions, imputed income, retroactive deductions, and W-2 benefit reporting
- Process and reconcile monthly/quarterly benefits invoices and partner with Finance to audit and reconcile billing as necessary
- Partner with our Finance and Legal teams team to ensure compliance of health care plan documents, policies, postings, eligibility, and Affordable Care Act requirements
- Coordinate country specific and global benefits and wellness education sessions and communication campaigns
- Support the full lifecycle of all Benefit programs, including global benefits renewals, global pensions audit, benefit structure reviews and implementation across the globe
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience minimum: 3+ years experience in US benefits
- Hands on experience with day to day benefits administration
- Experience implementing and rolling out benefits programs company-wide
- Previous experience supporting a 401k plan
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently to run benefit programs from start to finish

Under the direction of the Ambulatory Applications Manager, the Systems Analyst will assist in all aspects of the MPN Electronic Health Record systems to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. - Provides users with functional support of EMR systems, researches problems on a timely basis, and provides timely feedback to users.
- Participate in team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting minutes and follows up on assigned items
- Provides applications training to super users and/or users. Assist Applications Manager with development of training materials.
- Maintains detailed and up-to-date documentation of issues, resolutions, and projects within help desk system

Additional responsibilities include supporting review of job descriptions, assisting with system improvements, supporting HRIS processes, and collaborating with HR teams on organizational design and employee relations matters. Will support confirming appropriate titles and salaries for new hires, process promotions and salary actions, and validate that the internal tracking database is up to date and accurate.
