They will foster collaborative relationships with campus partners, manage programming and events, and support student recruitment and selection. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** The Sisterhood Student Success Coordinator will contribute to the Sisterhood Initiative through the following major responsibilities:Academic Support and Student Development:
+ Serve as an academic support specialist and advocate for SI students in their Sophomore thru Senior years.
+ Work with advisors and instructors to ensure students are on track and provide additional support.
+ Provide referrals to campus and community resources.
+ Advise and prepare students for experiential learning, internships, service learning, study abroad, and other opportunities.
+ Establish and maintain partnerships with campus offices to facilitate collaborative student support.
+ Promote campus and community events and resources of interest.Management of SI Programming:
+ Manage two half time undergraduate student Program Assistants
+ Manage the daily operations of the SI in coordination with the Director.
+ Manage pro-card and program purchases.
+ Manage event planning and coordination for SI events.
+ Develop communications to disseminate program information, build partnerships, and enhance opportunities for SI students.
+ Establish and maintain outreach and communication efforts, including the weekly newsletter, program website and social media.

**The Veteran and Military Resource Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Counseling Services Coordinator to join their team.**
Under the direction of the Director of Veteran and Military Resource Center, the Counseling Services Coordinator will assist the department to support the transition of new military connected students and their families by providing oversight of the PAVE program, support the initiatives of Student Affairs and connect with campus partners.
With an increasing population of military connected college students, providing high-quality orientation services with a guided importance in the way students feel a sense of belonging, customer service and how we support retention and persistence have to begin with the success of new students' successful transition into UW Tacoma.
The new Counseling Services Coordinator will directly affect, through the work with student employees, the transition of new students and their families. They will implement new ideals and structures for the PAVE program to interact directly with students and their families and to gather stakeholder input and feedback to better support them as representatives of UW Tacoma. They will ensure best practices to protect student privacy and evaluate the efficacy of partnerships. Additionally, this position will develop and foster relationships with other UW Tacoma departments. Under the direction of the Director of Veteran and Military Resource Center, they will also support the Student Veterans Organization and The Veterans Incubator for Better Entrepreneurship (VIBE).
The numbers of incoming students has more than doubled since 2006 and student populations are requiring a more diverse set of supports for their transition (e.g., increasing populations from our military-connected students and the local U.S. military installations). A Counseling Services Coordinator will help ensure the PAVE Program, partnerships, and orientation resources set students up to successfully enter UW Tacoma and persist through graduation.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Student Staff Leadership (45%)
+ Recruit, select, train and supervise PAVE mentors
+ Provide ongoing mentoring to support the development of the PAVE
+ Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance as neededProgram Development (10%)
+ Work with the Director of Veteran and Military Resource Center (VMRC) to develop operational and programmatic goals, objectives and key performance indicators
+ Research best practices for supporting military-connected student persistence through their first year (Freshmen, Running Start, and Transfer students)
+ Work with campus stakeholders to connect mentors to program resources that support students' transition into UW Tacoma, persistence through their first year and sense of belonging

The Associate Director of Counseling Services is directly responsible for leading the University's Counseling Services, emphasizing the management of clinical services, expanding mental health resources through internal and external counseling providers, and increasing student utilization of mental health resources. Essential Responsibilities

Administrative:

    Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure adherence to the highest clinical standards, applicable legislation, local health and safety laws and regulations, risk management policies, and professional codes of ethics.
  • Provide administrative supervision for full-time, part-time, and student employees. Liaison with the College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences and lead the development and management of a graduate-level clinical internship/practicum training program to expand the center's capacity to serve students and support the university's ability to train future counselors for the profession.
  • Regularly add and edit templates in electronic health records to facilitate the clearest, most accurate, and most efficient documentation of client visits.
  • Regularly maintain and update the Counseling Center website to include updated resources for the university community. Serve as the primary contact and contract manager for the Uwill teletherapy and telehealth services.

Clinical Services & Counseling:

  • Coordinate clinical services to ensure responsiveness to the student's needs, including managing wait times and on-call follow-up for clinical sessions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive referral network, identify professional resources in the community to make appropriate student referrals, and organize and implement a system for evaluating referral sources.
  • Assist faculty in resolving unique and/or complex issues that interfere with students' academic and personal success.
  • Monitor EAB and Maxient alerts for health concerns and at-risk students for case management and follow-up.
  • Provide faculty and staff support on referrals through EAB and Maxient, including consultations on student health and wellbeing.
  • Oversee, organize, and integrate clinical services and manage the evaluation and assessment of the Counseling Center's services and programs.
  • Provide leadership in the scheduling, planning, implementing, and monitoring of all clinical policies and procedures. Represent the Counseling Services team in meetings with campus and community partners, participate in committees, and conduct consultations with faculty, staff, and students regarding student health and wellbeing.
  • Work with staff to delegate and distribute caseloads for clinical counseling services (therapy, evaluation, crisis intervention, referral) to University students.
  • Provide clinical counseling to students in when other full-time or part-time staff are not available.

Supervision:

  • Provide clinical supervision for licensed counselor(s) and/or interns in providing mental health counseling services for NLU students.
  • Oversee the intake process, maintain documentation and student records in compliance with HIPAA, and ensure licensed counselor(s) maintain all necessary continuing education credits for licensure.
  • Provide Clinical Supervision to graduate-level counselors in training.

Budget & Finances:

  • Work with the Director of Access and Campus Resources to manage the Counseling Center's budget and spending.
  • Collaborate with staff and Institutional Advancement to provide data for grant opportunities and applications that expand the Counseling Centers' work on all campuses.

Crisis:

  • Serve as the Confidential Advisor for Title IX incidents, including relationship violence, discrimination, or sexual misconduct, as required by state law (Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education).
  • Serve as the Chief Crisis Counselor, managing a caseload related to students in crisis, following up with urgent mental health and safety-related reports, and as a consulting member of the Emergency Response Team and the Student Affairs CARE case management team.

Other:

  • Additional related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by university leadership, adapting to changing needs and strategic priorities.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, or a terminal degree (e.g., PhD, PsyD) in Psychology or a closely related field required.

  • 3-5 years of professional mental health counseling experience.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience recruiting, managing, supervising and evaluating professional, clinical, and/or student staff.

Position SummaryThe Nutrition Counseling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the productivity and delivery of high-quality nutrition counseling services. This role supervises a team of Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians and ensures compliance with quality and performance metrics. The supervisor provides coaching to team when needed, is directly involved with new hire training and participates in quality improvement and growth initiatives.
The team under this position's supervision has pacific time working hours, so the supervisor would need to be available until 6pm Pacific Time, as needed.
Salary Range: $85,737-111,458Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
+ Provide day-to-day management and oversight of nutrition counseling staff
+ Ensure team meets productivity targets through routine review of performance metrics and management to individual RD goals
+ Gain understanding of quality metrics and trends, and manage team to quality expectations
+ Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins to support staff performance and professional development
+ Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new team members
+ Serve as a resource for complex client situations
+ Assist in the development of clinical process changes to support the broader goals of the nutritional counseling program
+ Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Required Skills and Experience
+ Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science or Dietetics
+ Minimum 3 years' experience managing clinical service delivery teams
+ Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
+ Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships, influence others at all levels and drive change in a complex environment
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
+ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks or projects at one time
+ This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops computers and smartphones
+ Work independently and has a strong sense of responsibility carrying out the required job duties with a minimum amount of daily supervision
Preferred Skills and Experience
+ Licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of residence
+ Training in health coaching, motivational interviewing and intuitive/mindful eating framework
Physical Requirements
+ Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
+ Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
+ Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
