The Art Therapist provides direct assessment and clinical interventions to patients and families in alignment with all Art Therapy competencies identified by the American Art Therapy Association and are credentialed by the ATCB (Art Therapy Credentials Board, Inc.). Art Therapists supports children, teens, and family members in the healthcare setting by providing interventions that promote ongoing medical and psychosocial goals. The Art Therapist utilizes evidence based practice to plan, organize, and direct art therapy interventions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to provide trauma informed family centered care.

Position is 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate clinical competency knowledge areas by maintaining board certification.

  • Serve as an interdisciplinary expert in the psychosocial care and development of children of all ages while individualizing care for each patient.

  • Serve as a representative of the department on unit based committees, articulating the therapeutic and clinical nature of the work done by department staff. Representation on hospital projects with approval by department leadership.
  • Remain up to date and current with all departmental education and Nemours mandatory requirements.
  • Assess and prioritize child/family needs for art therapy interventions to address emotional, social, mental, and physical conditions that they are experiencing in the hospital setting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Dean of the College of Liberal & Creative Arts (LCA), the Director of Finance leads the fiscal strategy, planning, and oversight for a complex, multi-unit college with an annual budget exceeding 40 million. This position is responsible for the effective management of all state, trust, auxiliary, and grant-related financial resources. The Director provides expert guidance on financial policies and procedures, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, supports strategic planning, and leads a finance team to deliver high-quality service to academic departments and college leadership.

Position Information

Financial Management & Strategic Planning

  • Directs the development, implementation, and management of the College’s annual operating budgets, including General Fund, Trust, University Corporation (UCorp), ORSP, and fee-based funds.
  • Prepares multi-year budget forecasts, monitors expenditures, and evaluates fiscal performance to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Leads year-end closeout, budget rollovers, and fiscal planning in collaboration with the Budget Office and Fiscal Affairs.
  • Provides financial modeling, revenue projections, cost analyses, and recommendations for decision-making by the Dean and senior leadership.

Compliance, Reporting & Analysis

  • Ensures compliance with CSU, state, federal, and institutional fiscal policies and regulations.
  • Provides monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and presentations to LCA leadership.
  • Manages all financial audits, reconciliations, and fund transfers; ensures proper documentation and transparency of financial transactions.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Leads and supervises the College’s finance team, including analysts and support staff; provides training, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Represents LCA in campus-wide budget and finance committees and workgroups.

Special Projects & Operational Support

  • Provides leadership on college-wide initiatives such as space and resource planning, enrollment revenue strategies, and operational restructuring.
  • Assists with special funding projects, grant-related financial planning, and philanthropic resource allocation as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, preferably in a higher education or public sector setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, fund accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience managing staff and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with financial software systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, CFS, Data Warehouse) and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related discipline.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in finance/budget leadership in a CSU or large academic institution.
  • Knowledge of CSU financial systems and processes (e.g., CSU Budget Memo cycles, CO reporting, RRT processes, and UCorp/Trust funds).
  • Experience with strategic planning, enrollment-based budgeting, or academic resource allocation models.

Position Overview
  • Grade(s): 5th/6th - 8th
  • Proficiency: Art; Musical Theater, Coding; Photography; etc.

The Lead Teacher's role holds the primary responsibility for developing and implementing the curriculum, school culture, and the success of the school's students.

Duties/Responsibilities

Curriculum Development and Instruction
  • Adapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum and assess students' progress
  • Develop academically rigorous lessons, create unit plans, rubrics and assessments
  • Use data to inform instructional decisions
  • Provide students with daily feedback on mastery performance in character and academics and plan for individual learning needs
  • Demonstrate strong pedagogy

Commitment to School and Classroom Culture
  • Work collaboratively with your school team and those across KIPP Capital Region
  • Help develop school-wide culture that best fits the needs of our students, teachers and families
  • Attend and participate in all staff meetings and communicate openly with staff
  • Develop positive rapport with students
  • Create and foster a positive and calm learning environment
  • Enforce, uphold, and exhibit school's values, student management policies and culture

Family Engagement
  • Establish and maintain strong communication lines with all parents and share progress
  • Be available for open houses, parent teacher conferences and other events involving parents
  • Make him/herself available to students, parents and other staff members

Growth Mindset
  • Pursue challenging professional goals each year
  • Willing to offer support and receive constructive feedback from colleagues in order to create a professional working atmosphere that is conducive to change and improvement
  • Participate in school-wide and individual professional development, including pre-service training over the summer and weekly during the academic year (held during school hours)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University, required
  • Valid NYS Teaching Licensure or willingness to pursue state certification, required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a school educator, preferably in a charter or public school environment, preferred
  • Prior experience working in schools and urban communities is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours.
  • Aptitude to create and work within an inclusive environment that honors and supports a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives.

Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience relevant to the role and longevity within the KIPP network. KIPP Capital Region will evaluate and determine the step/level a new hire will be placed within our teacher salary scale at point of hire.

Student will act as an office assistant for the Visual Arts, Music, Theater & Dance Main Office. Visual Arts / Music / Theater & Dance majors/minors are encouraged to apply.

Department: Visual Arts, Music, Theater & Dance

Location: Visual Arts Bldg

Supervisor: Victoria Rotondi

Work available: Daytime, Monday-Friday

Pay rate: $9.70/hr

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Design event and course flyers
  • On campus errands
  • Hang event flyers across campus
  • General office work including: scanning, copying and shredding
  • Proofreading
  • Distribute mail across several buildings
  • Answer telephones, take messages and transfer appropriately
  • Assist Professors in 3 departments as needed
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Canva online design software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and proper phone etiquette, should be comfortable answering phones, transferring calls and taking accurate messages
  • Confidentiality is very important
  • Good work ethic and professional attitude
  • Dependability
