The Manager, Brand Menu Category Management will drive the next generation of menu innovation at Arbys. They will join a team of food-forward marketers who get satisfaction from creating and executing legendary big ideas on the national restaurant stage. Your role will require the ability to identify opportunities for game changing menu strategy, innovation, and reinvention within current and future menu categories/products. This role reports to Sr. Director, Menu Category Management. Duties And Responsibilities
- Create, define and refine short and long-term menu strategies via innovation, renovation and deletions in order to meet and exceed brand and business objectives
- Partner with the Culinary team to create, develop, optimize and qualify new core menu and limited time products. Partner with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Analytics, Supply Chain, Training, Insights, and Marketing in the development, qualification and launch process.
- Evaluate, test, and launch products evaluating results and developing recommendations on path forward for brand and franchisee alignment
- Partner with the Consumer Insights and Brand Analytics teams to gather information to understand current customer and growth target needs, market trends, competitive landscape, product screener results, positioning and product testing to develop recommendations based on prioritized areas of focus
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Brand Experience and Commercial Group, on pricing, promotion, calendar needs, and positioning recommendations across channels
- Analyze ongoing performance of the core menu across channels (at the restaurant and in digital channels) to identify opportunities to optimize
- 4 year degree in business administration, Marketing, Management or another related field
- 3-5+ years working in menu strategy for multi-unit foodservice chain(s)
- Ability to think strategically to inform and inspire big ideas
- Innate curiosity to derive consumer and business insights
- Process strong business acumen and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially the ability to explain difficult concepts and insights in applicable business terms. Strong ability to summarize insights into PowerPoint presentations in clear and understandable calls to action.
- Ability to collaborate and motivate across the operations, supply chain, field, and marketing teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to project manage and handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet all desired deadlines.
- Strong leadership, sales support, project management and training skills.
- Understanding of how to take products or programs through a development and testing process.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to listen and translate details attentively.

Position Information
The purpose of this classification is to provide interior design services for County-owned buildings and facilities.
Essential Functions
Supervises and provides direction and assistance to consultants, contractors, and work crews: organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates work activities; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work to ensure compliance with contracts (costs, schedule, specifications, and quality of work); and provides technical expertise and assistance with complex/problem situations.
Coordinates and participates in the programming phase of the project (planning & preliminary design/concepts): identifies user needs and requirements; confers with all appropriate parties to solicit input and feedback; develops cost projections, engineering specifications, project budgets, and schedules; and facilitates approval of project and final design.
Coordinates process for bidding and contracting of services of various project components in conjunction with departmental or County contracts officer: prepares Requests For Proposal (RFPs) for engineering services, design services, construction services, inspection services, maintenance services, or other services; prepares bid packages; conducts pre-bid and pre-construction meetings; issues addendum to clarify questionable issues; participates in negotiations of scope of services and fees for professional services agreements; and makes recommendations regarding selection of vendors and awarding of contracts.
Develops project plans and project team: identifies critical path tasks; pro-actively manages critical path tasks; sets and meets interim project goals; sets and manages project contingency; and performs change control; and other associated project management efforts needed to ensure that project schedule and budget are met.
Provides technical advice, information, and assistance in field of assignment to consultants, contractors, engineers, other County officials, and the public regarding applicable procedures, regulations, and standards.
Represents the project internally for all County concerns: consults with program manager or other officials to review status of projects, review/resolve problems, receive advice/direction, and provide recommendations; facilitates the coordination of project meetings, communications, and work activities between key business units, project teams, government agencies, and other participants; assists in resolving problems or conflicts between project participants; recommends solutions to problems and facilitates implementation; and prepares executive summaries and reports for presentation to BOC, Planning Commission, or other officials as requested.
Manages the administrative aspects of the project: may initiate and compose agenda items; negotiates and monitors budget and expenditures; updates project schedules and monitors progress of project in meeting established schedule; processes purchase order requisitions, work orders, and invoices; reviews project progress reports submitted by contractors; coordinates acquisition and/or maintenance of required permitting; schedules inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements; facilitates adherence to all reporting and documentation requirements; and evaluates and monitors progress against performance and quality measurements.
Manages assigned projects during design and/or construction phases: attends regular project progress meetings; works with consultants, contractors, and work crews to resolve problems and initiate the appropriate solutions; assists with field decisions and approves change orders as appropriate; prepares, reviews, and processes change orders for changes to contracted scope of work; monitors adherence to project schedules; inspects quality of construction work and materials; coordinates final inspections with contractors and engineers; and facilitates project acceptance with other County departments or government agencies.
Participates in the preparation of construction and engineering plans, designs, and/or specifications pertaining to assigned projects: performs or requests the consultant to provide modeling, testing, planning, and engineering studies in support of project analysis and design; reviews and verifies engineering calculations and analysis submitted by consultant engineers meets specifications and professional standards; verifies compliance of consultant recommendations to County policy; and makes recommendations concerning improvements, modifications, design strategies, structural systems, or other aspects of project development.
Serves as project liaison to the public, property owners, media, other government agencies, and other County departments/officials regarding project planning, design and construction progress: solicits input and feedback; coordinates public relations and education activities; responds to inquiries; makes presentations to, neighborhood, BOC and civic groups; develops press releases and public information materials for distribution; and participates in legal activities relating to assigned projects.
Acts as contract representative for all contracts within area of responsibility: reviews contracts, change orders, construction drawings, engineering reports, specifications, and project progress reports to evaluate compliance with project contract; and monitors status of ongoing contracted projects by controlling costs, managing risks, issuing change order directives, and resolving claims.
Communicates with supervisor, employees, other departments, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems; communicates via telephone and/or two-way radio; provides information and assistance; takes and relays messages or directs calls to appropriate personnel; returns calls as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field; supplemented by two years of experience in managing projects or administrating contracts; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
State of Georgia Interior Designers License - Registered Interior Designer (RID) desired.
Physical Abilities
Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.
Sensory Requirements
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions; field work will expose the incumbent to a variety of hazards consistent with a construction site.
