Summary: Under the direction of the Lead CT Technologist, the CT Technologist utilizes computed tomography equipment to obtain diagnostic images for interpretation or intervention by the radiologist. Exhibits quality patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Education: High school diploma plus satisfactory completion of two years of formal training in an approved school of Radiological Technology.

Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and walking required. May be exposed to electrical and radiant energy and unpleasant physical conditions of patients.

*$10,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*
Hours: 32 flex 40hrs
Shift: Evening shift, 11:00am - 11:30pm and 3:00pm - 11:30pm with occasional evenings with every 3rd weekend. 2-12 hour shifts and 1-8 hour shift and flex

ResponsibilitiesUnder the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Responsible for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patients chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures.
Qualifications- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiation Therapy and attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility and post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography, RT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board NMTCB(CT).
- Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of CT is required for RTs or CNMTs within one year of eligibility and/or per RT licensure in MA or RI.
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Pay RangeUSD $8.50 - USD 60.00 /Hr.
