Job Description
The Customer Insights team will stay up to date on the customer's attitude, perception, and experience with all of our brands and represent the voice of the customer in marketing planning. Leveraging an internal team, research tools and third-party agency support, this team member is responsible for executing surveys and building and socializing reports and results with the Insights Manager and various stakeholders across the business to keep the customer top of mind in projects spanning from marketing to store operations and merchandising. The ideal candidates for this role enjoy working cross-functionally with partners, are self-starters who observe problems and proactively recommend solutions and understand how to apply the customer voice to business initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Execute annual research plans that align with departmental budget and major company initiatives.
- Write ongoing and ad-hoc customer surveys.
- Set up surveys within existing tools (i.e. Qualtrics, Medallia, etc.).
- Work with the analytics team to define customer lists and segments in survey design.
- Support research design and create best in class recommendations (selection criteria and advanced statistical concepts).
- Synthesize data to help departments prioritize initiatives based on customer feedback.
- Analyze survey results and translate findings into deck-based readouts.
- Tie the impact of the voice of the customer back to departmental objectives (e.g. campaign performance, departmental sales, store NPS).
- Respond to customer feedback as necessary through survey tools (i.e. Medallia).
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors Degree
- Experience: 2 years of experience in customer insights or market research
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Experience with various market research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative
- Experience in survey writing and design (selection criteria and advanced statistical concepts)
- Experience with survey tools (i.e. Qualtrics, Medallia)
- Proactive in identifying potential survey execution issues and recommending a solution to the Insights Manager
- Willingness to ask for feedback and priorities from cross-functional business partners in order to develop the best survey questions and design
- Ability to balance strategic thinking and disciplined research practices with flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment (where priorities may shift).
- Ability to sort through large amounts of data, validate and improve data sources and develop a consistent, actionable business narrative.

**A Day in the Life:**
A typical day for a customer insights senior analyst involves constructing reports, building tableau dashboards, and creating data driven insights while also assisting with ad-hoc requests from leadership.
The starting salary for this role is $75K-80K; commensurate with experience.
**What You'll Do:**
+ The role primarily consists of analyses of large data sets and business trends to provide insights.
+ Utilize big data tools to consolidate and cleanse large data sets into easily digestible formats.

**What We're Looking For:**
+ Bachelor's degree in business related, economics, financial, or analytical discipline required.
+ MBA preferred or graduate studies in economics, finance, engineering, or related field.
+ Minimum 2+ years prior analytical, commercial, marketing, or similar quantitative field experience preferred.
+ Minimum 3+ years prior work experience, and/or graduate degree in lieu of experience, in related field.
+ Preferred experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry, but not required.
+ Working knowledge of SQL, python, AWS and Teradata environments
+ Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations.
