**Role Definition**
Works closely with product, financial and industry teams to guide the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies that align with product and enterprise goals for revenue and profitability, with a high level of direct involvement with senior leaders and a strong level of independence.

  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Risk Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in catastrophe modeling or exposure management in the (re)insurance industry.
  • Hands-on experience with AIR Touchstone required; experience with RMS models a plus.
  • Knowledge of catastrophe perils (e.g., hurricane, earthquake, wildfire) and how they impact property risk.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and geospatial tools (e.g., AIRs Geospatial Module).
  • Experience working with or managing outsourced/BPO modeling resources preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to serve as a bridge between technical modeling and underwriting business needs.
Preferred Attributes
  • CEEM or other catastrophe modeling certifications a plus.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in multi-line property portfolios or commercial large schedules.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for CAT exposure (e.g., ORSA, NAIC Climate Risk Disclosure).

Salary: In New York City, and New Jersey the base pay range is $95,000.00 - 125,000.00. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

Overview

Hybrid (could be fully remote) opportunity in Princeton, NJ area. Manage a small team with a focus on modeling and analysis to support business development and financing strategies. 4-8 years of experience in a business development, project finance, or structured finance role. MBA, CFA is desired.

Responsibilities
  1. Create financial models and forecasts dedicated to project development, construction, operations, and related financings.
  2. Provide quantitative analysis and pricing support to assist the business development team.
  3. Identify funding sources, use of capital, and liquidity requirements, aligning financing with project milestones.
  4. Help structure project financing solutions, including debt sizing, cash flow modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
  5. Ensure alignment on financial assumptions and modeling inputs by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  6. Interact with banks, lenders, and external stakeholders.
  7. Prepare presentations for management and lenders.
  8. Monitor the financial performance of projects to ensure financial structures are adhered to.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics.

  4. Experience developing financial projections and pricing for new builds is strongly preferred.

Overview

As a Senior Engineer - Threat Modeling you will be a part of a smart cross-functional team delivering digital business transformation solutions to our clients. This position entails an individual contributor role focused on Security Architecture and Threat Modeling, encompassing governance, evaluation of public cloud services, and conducting security reviews for Public Cloud Providers. Collaboration and partnership with Engineering, Information Security, Program Management, and Development teams are essential. The candidate will conduct technical architecture reviews to pinpoint security opportunities, identify exploitable threats, and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Conduct thorough threat modeling exercises utilizing established methodologies and frameworks.

  • Maintain a rigorous standard of excellence in identifying potential threats and specifying effective mitigation controls.

  • Manage the lifecycle of identified threats and associated controls, ensuring timely updates and adjustments as necessary.

  • Deliver comprehensive threat models and related tasks within specified timeframes.

  • Offer constructive feedback, support, and suggestions for enhancing the existing threat modeling process.

  • Present findings and progress updates to senior leadership, team members, and relevant technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

We are seeking an ideal candidate with 8+ years of experience in a range of technologies and processes including:

  • Proficiency in GCP - essential

  • Strong knowledge of security architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices

  • Experience working with threat modeling methodologies such as MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, PASTA etc.

  • Overall experience in Cybersecurity: 5+ years

  • Security practices encompassing authentication, authorization, logging/monitoring, encryption, infrastructure security, and network/segmentation

  • Knowledge of cloud security frameworks

  • knowledge of Rest API

  • Knowledge in scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Familiarity with Jira or other ticketing systems – essential

  • Technical architecture design and review skills – essential

  • Ability to identify vulnerabilities using CWE or OWASP

  • Knowledge of operating systems and their hardening techniques

  • Understanding of development concepts such as CICD, Pipelines, and SDLC

  • Penetration testing knowledge is also super useful

  • Familiarity with Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and GitOps

  • Experience operating in a DevOps/agile team environment

  • Understanding of docker, Kubernetes, serverless architecture, and Helm

  • Exposure to platforms like Snowflake, MongoDB, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, and Databricks

  • Strong analytical skills, diligence, and attention to detail

  • Willingness to conduct research using vendor documentation
