As a Business Intelligence Analyst, youll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, optimization, and strategic execution. From engineering, production, quality, and inventory management to finance and HR, youll partner with stakeholders to deliver user-friendly, high-impact dashboards and analyses that enable data-driven decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a strong technical background in BI tools, SQL, and data standardization. You will not only deliver insights but also track and measure the impact of data-driven process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve interactive Power BI dashboards and analyses that provide real-time, cross-functional insights to drive strategic and operational decision-making
• Standardize KPI definitions and reporting processes, documenting metric calculations, assumptions, and limitations to ensure consistency and scalability
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the resulting datasets across multiple sources
• Present insights to department leads, enabling them to make data-driven operational process improvements, then track and measure the impact of those changes
• Collaborate with business and technical owners of internal tools (and resulting data feeds) to ensure data infrastructure supports accurate, efficient analytics workflows
• Maintain data governance and quality standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to the BI teams source-of-truth data models
  
  

• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data modeling in a cross-functional business environment
• 1+ years of experience using Power BI, with strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling
• Proficiency in SQL for querying databases, data transformation (ETL/ELT), and creating optimized reporting views

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing and dynamic team.

As part of the Business Intelligence Team, your responsibilities will include managing and enhancing the in-house mortgage loan database, creating performance and investor reports and dashboards, implementing data management protocols and systems, and writing queries to generate ad-hoc reports for research as needed. Analysts must be proficient at manipulating and analyzing large sets of data and have a good knowledge of fixed income mathematics and statistics.

This is a small team, and any candidate must be a team-player, able and willing to work on cross-over projects, able to pick up complex concepts and communicate effectively to both internal and external constituents. The position will allow the candidate to collaboratively work across the Companys cross-functional teams (Data Research & Reporting, Trading & Analytics, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Transaction Management, and Collateral Management) and to learn from the firms industry leading professionals. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, a self-starter, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to work under time sensitive deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Reconciliation of monthly loan servicer cash reporting and other loan attributes;
• Coordinates and communicate with data providers to reconcile data in a timely manner;
• Produces monthly cash flow reporting for internal and external stakeholders;
• Identifies data errors and reviews findings with more senior team members;
• Learning and maintaining proprietary mortgage database in Microsoft SQL;
• Develop SQL scripts that improve the efficiency of processes, analysis, and reporting;
• Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of data;
• Running analyses using in house software tools;
• Identifies markets for future development and methods to improve existing products by analyzing technology trends;
• Automation of monthly portfolio performance reconciliations and Data Quality Control; and
• Any ad hoc analysis that may be requested.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree from a top undergraduate program.
• Experience: 2-6 years of experience with data analytics.
• Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of Excel/VBA.
• Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
• Experience using BI tools and building dynamic reporting dashboard (Tableau, superset, etc.)
• Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
• Ability to deal with advanced problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized or specialty situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Additionally, the DDABI will serve as the organization's lead data expert and work with stakeholder groups to create timely and effective dashboards, visualizations, reports, and business tools with broad applicability. Lastly, the DDABI fosters the democratization of data and the development of data usability throughout the organization. Hybrid = Individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs. Essential Functions 1. Service Delivery Reporting Responsible for the development and maintenance of key performance indicator dashboards including Clinical Quality reporting. Regulatory reporting support.
