The Role

What You'll Bring

The Role
The Lead Data Science Statistician - AV Safety Data Analysis will drive the statistical methods used to development and evaluation of autonomous vehicle (AV) performance safety metrics ranging from straightforward to advanced machine learning outputs. This position is part of the Safety Assurance for Effective Autonomous Driving Software (SAFE-ADS) department in the Global Product Safety, System, and Certification (GPSSC) organization. The SAFE-ADS department serves as the central body for automated driving system (ADS) safety. GM's vision is zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion - AV safety is at the heart of driving forward this vision. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data science, statistical modeling, and data development across the entire data maturity curve. They will have experience in automative, safety, and/or robotic industries and understand how to integrate physics and engineering into the foundational statistical methods and approaches. The technical leader is a self-starter and comfortable solving ambiguous problems. They are passionate about data and creating valuable insights that drive continuous safety improvements and confidence in the system.
As a technical leader in the SAFE-ADS data science team, you will provide robust statistical expertise and guidance, weigh alternatives, and explain the different approaches to senior leaders. You will address safety assurance related questions related to ADS behavioral performance and validation. This role involves working with large-scale data generated by the ADS system. One of the key elements is to scale data science work and accelerating time-to-delivery in insights which requires the integration of physics and engineering principles. As a leader, you'll play a key role in defining and advancing GM's AV quantitative measurement and risk assessment efforts. Your work will contribute to enhancing and scaling our existing safety risk assessment framework and help to ensure coverage of our operational design domain, foundational components of the overall safety case that guides decision-making and drives engineering across the entire AV technology stack.

**Position Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst, specializing in Power BI and modern data platforms.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reports that deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders.This role requires deep expertise in Power BI along with strong analytical, data modeling, and SQL skills. Our major Media Client is seeking a Data Analyst to join a driven and highly motivated team, who is responsible for managing their content supply chain, including ingest, QC, prep, and fulfillment to deliver content on behalf of the company's Domestic and International properties ranging from film studios to broadcast networks and streaming platforms. The Data Analyst will be responsible for owning projects and initiatives to simplify supply chain operations and driving best practices through governance, metrics reporting, and change management. Additionally, this role will support the ongoing efforts within Media Operations to simplify the content supply chain, harden the operation's technical footprint, and maintain communication and awareness of simplification efforts throughout the department.

Pay: $40 - $0/hr W2
**Responsibilities:**
+ Working across the Fulfillment organization, understand voice of customer, operational requirements, and pain points.
+ Use business acumen to thoroughly understand the operation and to develop operational expertise.
+ Define a roadmap for data & analytics with Fulfillment leadership. Manage efforts and track progress against this roadmap.
+ Project manage data initiatives throughout the department. Manage scope, schedule, and resources.
+ Manage vendor relationships and strategic partnerships.
+ Manage governance processes and track operational metrics and KPIs. Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.
+ Develop new processes and workflows for measuring KPIs, collecting data, and presenting the data visually. Automate manual processes where possible.
+ Own operational reporting (project status, accomplishments, updates, KPIs, and productivity) on behalf of the department. Prepare engaging and informative presentations to effectively communicate across all levels.
+ Support the department's operating rhythm for long-range planning (LRP) as needed.
**Experience Requirements:**
+ Experience with working in a data first environment with tools such as Tableau, Tableau Prep, PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Snowflake and Excel (Advanced functions)
+ 4+ years of a proven performance working with project teams and effectively delivering projects of all sizes
+ 4+ years of experience creating business presentations for executive audiences
+ 3+ years of experience managing metrics reporting in an operational environment
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
**Desired Skills:**
+ Experience with project management and workflow systems and tools (Salesforce, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office 365)

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Data Analyst, you will perform basic analysis to ensure that recommendations and business conclusions are backed by thorough data research and findings. You will support a range of functional stakeholders, spanning CBRE's service lines.
This job is part of the Data Science & Analytics job function. They are responsible for reviewing data that supports improving effectiveness and predicting outcomes to develop business intelligence.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Act as a primary reporting, analytics and data governance resource for regional stakeholders, serving a leading healthcare sector client
+ Become thoroughly familiar with suite of standardized account reporting resources.
+ Coordinate data aggregation and curate reports using existing business intelligence and reporting applications.
+ Perform ad-hoc, strategic review of structured and unstructured data, reflecting global real estate markets and the operations of real estate assets.
