The BI Developer takes direction from, and collaborates with, the Assistant Director of Decision Support Services and the Senior Director, Finance Operations on work priorities and manages the resolution of escalated issues. The BI Developer will perform in depth and precise investigation and documentation of future-state reporting specifications and application reporting functionality. The BI Developer must achieve in-depth knowledge of relevant software applications as well as understand policies, procedures and constraints. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Meet with stakeholders to understand business needs for data requests. Gather requirements, document, clarify, interpret specifications and review for completeness and accuracy. Design, develop, validate and perform thorough functional testing of extracts, reports, visualization dashboards utilizing analytics tools and data sources such as, including but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Tableau, WebI, SSRS, Power BI, Caboodle, Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, Universes, Registry Framework and Data Marts, SlicerDicer, and other Business Intelligence Tools. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including faculty practice team members, administrators, IT staff, and vendors. Effectively communicate technical concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and informed decision-making. Monitor performance of BI outputs and take corrective action to optimize or improve the performance when necessary. Gather, assess, and interpret substantial amounts of healthcare data, encompassing electronic health records, clinical data, financial data, and pertinent information. Offer insights and suggestions derived from the data analysis and interpretation. Streamline documentation, scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors. Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a geographically distributed team of Business Intelligence Analysts (including offshore contributors), currently two direct reports, with potential for team growth.
  • Operate in a hybrid player-coach capacity, contributing 25-50% as an individual contributor depending on team bandwidth and project urgency-especially for high-impact dashboard builds and updates.
  • Lead the development and administration of internal reporting tools, primarily Tableau, with potential to expand or transition to platforms such as Looker.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Client Services, Media Buying, Leadership, and Product to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable dashboards.
  • Build and maintain clean, scalable data pipelines and workflows that power dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Data Science, execute the BI roadmap to streamline internal reporting, reduce manual effort, and support new feature prototyping.
  • Serve as a reporting and visualization advocate across the company-helping teams effectively leverage dashboards for KPIs, client performance, operational insights, and more.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other departments to ensure robust, accurate, and timely reporting infrastructure.
  • Present insights and dashboard strategy clearly to stakeholders.
  • Own horizontal team functions, including monthly project planning and resource allocation, throughput tracking and reporting, and project management to ensure timely delivery.
  • Scope new dashboard and data visualization projects by gathering requirements from stakeholders, estimating effort, and defining success metrics.
  • Ensure dashboards and data products meet a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail, particularly for executive and cross-functional audiences.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar roles, with at least 1 year in a people management or mentorship capacity.
  • Advanced Tableau experience, including dashboard development, data source management, and admin-level configuration.
  • Strong SQL and data pipeline familiarity-comfortable navigating data systems to troubleshoot and optimize Tableau performance.
  • Experience delivering reporting for a variety of business audiences including Client Services, Sales, or Operations teams.
  • Proven ability to design compelling visualizations and translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

This individual will play a key role in delivering insights and analytics across ERP, wholesale, retail, e-commerce, and fulfillment operations. Key Responsibilities:
+ Act as a subject matter expert on data and reporting tools, supporting the development and expansion of the organization's BI and analytics capabilities.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders across business units and IT to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, and deliver intuitive dashboards and data solutions.

Minimum Experience/Accountabilities

Minimum 6 years' relevant experience including dashboards /BI reporting design, documentation, maintenance, implementation, upgrades, and troubleshooting. If no bachelor's degree, must have 10+ years of experience.
