Position Overview

LGES-Vertech is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join our Data Science and Predictive Analytics team, where you'll be a key contributor in transforming data into actionable insights for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will play a critical role in designing and delivering intuitive data visualizations, standardized reports, and data-driven storytelling that support both internal teams and external clients in understanding and optimizing storage system operations.

Overview

As part of FP&A Business Intelligence team, the Senior Data Analyst plays a cruicial role in transforming financial data into actionable insight. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Business Intelligence dashboards for Global FP&A team, primarily using Power BI, that integrate seamlessly into the daily workflows of our global finance stakeholders.

This is a Hybrid role - 3 days per week on site (Tuesday - Thursday) based out of our Milford, MA HQ

Responsibilities

    Partner with Global FP&A team to understand, evaluate, and document reporting and analytics needs
  • Assess incoming data and reporting requests from the Global FP&A team, balancing urgency, impact, and resource availability. Provide strategic guidance and, when necessary, reprioritize requests to align with broader business objectives and analytics roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data team to support the development and optimization of data asset pipelines
  • Design, Build and Maintaining scalable, user-friendly Power BI dashboards aligned with FP&A functional specifications and business goals
  • Deliver training and support to Global FP&A users to ensure effective adoption and utilization of analytic tools
  • Cultivate a culture committed to delivering timely, high-quality support and constantly improving user experience
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science, analytics, Statistics, Finance or related field
  • 5- 7 years' experience within data analytics and/or finance analytics
  • Must have proficiency in writing complex SQL queries
  • Must have proficiency in Power BI or other Enterprise BI Solutions
  • Knowledge of data governance best practices, and methodologies for managing large-scale databases
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Experience with programing language (e.g. Python, R) is preferred
  • Process discovery, design and implementation experience is a plus
  • Prior experience working with Financial Planning and Analysis team is a plus

Pay Range: Upto $38.50/Hour. on W2
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Regular Business Hour

Job Description:
  • Technology Requirements (I.E Programs, systems, etc) SQL & Python & Power BI, Advanced Excel, Oracle
  • What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks) Position will be a hybrid between a Planner II and a Data Analyst building reports & dashboards to support business needs.
  • Preferred background/prior work experience? Computer science & supply chain
  • Priority soft skills Independent worker, good communication & analytical skills, detail & deadline oriented.

Responsibilities:
  • Collects and organizes data for analysis.
  • Analyzes sales forecasts for assigned direct sales materials.
  • Generates production schedules and raw material requirements.
  • Releases production work orders to Manufacturing.
  • Analyzes sales performance and establish Production and QC priorities.
  • Maintains inventory to achieve assigned levels.
  • Participates in the transfer of new products from research and development to Mfg.
  • Ensures that internal departments are kept abreast of work order status, inventory levels and projects.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Maintains work center schedules to ensure proper jobs are scheduled and capacity limitations are understood and communicated when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and or abilities required.
  • Working knowledge of MRP2 and computerized inventory control system.
  • Extensive knowledge of material master maintenance, BOM's, routings and or recipes and work centers.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting fundamentals and labor reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python/R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent
  • CPIM certification desired.
  • Typically requires BA or BS.

Validate during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) that the data aligns with our stakeholders? expectations.

Perform statistical methods to analyze data and draw insights using techniques such as descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and inferential statistics.
