**Job Summary**
The HIIM Data Integrity Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of medical records by reviewing, indexing, and validating documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). This role ensures compliance with medical staff bylaws, medical staff rules and regulations, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and other regulatory requirements. The HIIM Data Integrity Analyst assigns deficiencies to providers, verifies document authentication, and ensures that medical records meet compliance standards before being considered complete.
**Essential Functions**
+ Analyzes and assigns chart deficiencies to providers based on regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and accreditation agency guidelines.
+ Reviews and validates scanned medical records, ensuring proper indexing to the correct facility, patient, and document type.
+ Ensures the integrity of the medical record by verifying the completeness, timeliness, and authentication of documentation.
+ Manages various analysis-specific work queues and validation queues, ensuring records are processed within established turnaround times.
+ Assists with batch indexing processes (Cerner Batch Indexing - Cer Batch) to ensure efficient document management and accurate assignment of medical records.
+ Monitors and maintains inbound Summary Transition of Care (TOC) accounts, ensuring records are accurately processed and available for provider review.
+ Utilizes analytics and designated facility reports to track record deficiencies and support compliance monitoring efforts.
+ Adheres to system workflow guidelines and HIM policies, assigning and re-routing accounts as needed due to poor image quality, missing documents, or incorrect indexing.
+ Ensures all medical records are authenticated before finalizing the completion process, verifying provider signatures and documentation accuracy.
+ Meets or exceeds corporate productivity and quality standards, ensuring timely validation of medical records and adherence to HIM best practices.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ H.S. Diploma or GED required
+ Associate Degree or higher in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
+ 2-4 years of experience in health information management (HIM), medical records, or healthcare data integrity required
+ Experience working with Cerner, Epic, or other EHR systems preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong understanding of medical record documentation, indexing, and compliance requirements.
+ Proficiency in EHR systems, HIM workflows, and data validation tools.

Job Description

The Director, Data Integrity, is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of data within the Materials Management Information System (MMIS). This role encompasses overseeing data maintenance, updates, and additions within MMIS tables, alongside providing expertise in data acquisition, management, manipulation, and analysis.
+ Ensure data integrity and adherence to business rules within MMIS.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and conduct research to implement effective strategies.
+ Collaborate with teams to develop and deploy data collection systems, enhancing statistical efficiency and data quality.
+ Interpret complex data sets to formulate actionable recommendations.
+ Analyze and resolve issues concerning patient, inventory, and system data integration.
+ Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data to support strategic initiatives.
+ Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports.
+ Maintain contracts database integrity and ensure data accuracy.
+ Develop and manage databases and data systems to support departmental needs.
+ Extract and synthesize data from internal and external sources as required.
+ Create and present insightful dashboards to stakeholders.
+ Lead and manage a team of master data analysts and business analysts focusing on supply chain functions including purchasing, contracting, value analysis, operations and inventory management.
+ Support MMIS/ERP system configuration, upgrades, and testing for supply chain functions, working with IT team.
+ Provide analytics supporting cost savings analysis and clinical value analysis initiatives.
+ Provide data-related support for acquisition integration projects.
+ Generate routine and ad-hoc reports to meet operational needs.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
**Education:** Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
**Experience:** Minimum 5 years of experience in Healthcare Supply Chain with a focus on Data Integrity required.
Technical expertise in data models, database design, and development required.
Experience with PeopleSoft FSCM and familiarity with Crystal Reports/Tableau/PowerBI tools required.
Knowledge of EPIC, GHX tools, Benchmarking tools, and Contract Management systems is advantageous preferred
Experience in data mining techniques, procedures, and application of AI in data quality improvement and analysis preferred.
**Licensure:** None required.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to a
