You will be responsible for the design, implementation and deployment of production-ready machine learning models that can be integrated in our ecosystem, with various applications (e.g. content generation, development assistants, etc.). In this role, you will Create and deliver production-ready, scalable and high-quality machine learning models and associated algorithms Critically assess the effectiveness of such models and make recommendations for the ongoing roadmap Methodically understand and assess the effectiveness of new data channels and support collection/creation of new ones What we're looking for PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field, or 3+ years of relevant industry experience Experience creating / applying machine learning algorithms for vision (2D or 3D) or language problems and deploying them as production-level systems Expert, hands-on knowledge of: Deep learning, incl. but not limited to applications in the gaming industry Foundational models and vision and/or language, incl. local deployment of open models, continued training and fine-tuning cloud and local models Python and associated ML tools/frameworks (numpy, scipy, sklearn, pytorch) Experience with working collaboratively with other developers, following a flexible/agile/lean approach EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE We pay 100% for benefits except for PMI (for dependents). What's the experience?
As an apprentice, you'll join with other apprentices in a local cohort. You'll go through the program together, learning about IBM and the skills you'll be attaining throughout your apprenticeship. Then, you'll work with your managers and mentors to progress through your personal skills roadmap, learning and demonstrating new knowledge and competencies through hands-on application with your project teams. You'll complete milestones along the way, earning digital credentials to validate your skills, and will come back together with other apprentices to participate in on-going training and development focused on your professional and technical skills. Best of all, you are a contributing member of your team, putting forward ideas, taking on responsibilities and making choices about how you get the job done just like any other IBMer.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Design, develop and program methods that integrate to systems that consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.

**Job Qualifications:**
+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD in data science, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related technical/quantitative discipline from an accredited institution and progressive data science experience as follows; five or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, three or more years of experience with a master's degree, or one or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
+ Must have a general understanding of software development concepts, principles, and theory and demonstrate the ability to follow and apply the use of programming and analysis concepts.

+ Trained deep reinforcement learning algorithms for coordination of multiple, autonomous goals

+ Prior experience in domains/industries like: robotics, space mission planning, large industrial facility automation, robust and resilient communications
+ Familiarity with common machine learning libraries for implementation (sklearn, weka, tensorflow, torch, etc)

+ Ability to understand and implement new models from the literature
