About the Role: The Inventory Data Specialist reports to the Data & Process Manager on the Inventory Planning team. The Inventory Data Specialist's role is to support the quality and integrity of Grocery Outlet's product data through regular data monitoring, maintenance activities, and collaboration with the team to identify process improvement across the business.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build a cross-functional understanding of the business, specifically as it relates to end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Will be responsible for reviewing error logs, tickets, dashboards, and item datasets (e.g., purchase orders, on-hand inventory, UPCs) to ensure a high level of accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving any gaps to maintain strong data integrity in a timely manner.
  • Train others in the business (buyers, assistants, etc.) on how to comply with new data quality standards in their roles.
  • Participate in cross-functional data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, enrichment, and standardization efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of data quality standards and SOPs to support long-term governance.

Specific Job Accountabilities/Functions:

QR coding of assets and locations. We are looking at a 3d printing solution for some metal detectable, QA approved cubes to have at or near the asset location so the techs can quickly scan the asset. From that, the team members can get manuals, safety documents, pictures, open work orders, create work orders, find parts, order parts, etc. As for the location, we believe the best solution for parts check out is to QR tag the locations, I.e. drawers, cabinets, parts cages, etc. This won't require every part to have its own tag or barcode and will give great visibility to the tech on parts availability and location. Responsibility for the intern would be to source and design solution of "tagging" the assets and warehouse locations. Building a QR database/printouts from D365(ERP). Then deploying to the locations.

As I am discovering, the PMs that exist in MP2 don't have the ability to carry over task check-off for electronic signature/sign-off. That means we will need to manually go into dynamics and setup each task individually. We have over 10k PMs we will need to study and clean-up. Obviously be targeted in our approach, start with the high priority, high vis PM/WO first. Work within the maintenance scheduling module in D365 and start a clean-up and setup process on all PMs(preventative maintenance work orders.

The Opportunity

What you'll do

  • Design and build mobile inspection forms from conception through production
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to oversee deployment of 4D on construction projects and onboarding

  • Verify documentation integrity, perform internal audits, and act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders

Duties of a Junior Data Support Specialist may include:

  • Data Management: Ensure the optimization of data flow across systems, both internally and externally, by managing and overseeing data strategies and provenance.
  • Data Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and execution of data strategies that align with organizational goals and future system architectures.
  • Data Provenance: Maintain oversight of data lineage to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of data across components and systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, external users, and system architects to address data-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Data Analysis and Recommendations: Analyze data workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to improve data management processes.
  • System Integration: Coordinate with system engineers and developers to ensure data systems are appropriately integrated and aligned with operational goals.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that all data management activities adhere to organizational policies and applicable security standards.
  • Innovation: Stay informed on emerging trends in data science and management to recommend innovative solutions and tools for better data handling.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with data lineage, data strategies, and optimization processes.
  • Experience with data governance and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and platforms.
  • Understanding of data science concepts and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of system integration processes and technologies.
  • Familiarity with data security and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience working in government or intelligence community agencies.
  • Familiarity with IC tools, processes, and data systems.
  • Knowledge of advanced data science techniques and tools.
  • Domain Expertise: GEOINT, SIGNINT, or Intelligence Integration
Education

Education:

  • 0-5 years with Bachelors in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math discipline
Clearance

Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
