Education and Experience
The position requires a High School diploma and 6 college units of Early Child
Development, Early Childhood Education or other related field with emphasis on infant to preschool age children. Requires successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment. One year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting is preferred.
Requirements for ECE Paraeducator positions under the Federal Head Start Program; High School Diploma or equivalent and a California Associate Teacher Permit (Referred by Federal head Start as “Child Development Associate Credential”) or Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Licenses and Certificates
May require a valid driver’s license. Certificate or permit required as defined in the Child
Development Permit Matrix established through the California Department of Education.

About the Role
As an Early Preschool Teacher, you are responsible for a classroom of children 2 - 3 years of age.
