Specific duties may include:
* Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner
* Conducting a safe work zone during each job site
* Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely
* Documenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
* Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
* Working in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading them
* Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
* Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveries
* Responsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned
* This position does not require over the road travel
Specific qualifications include:
* Valid CDL - Class A or B
* The ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)
* Ability and willingness to work on rooftops
* Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
* Boom truck experience is preferred

We are seeking a skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our team.
MINIMUM 3-YEAR CDL HOLDER
The CDL Truck Driver will be responsible for planning and executing the transportation of goods to our vendors in a safe and timely manner.
The successful candidate should have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a clean driving record, and a keen understanding of road safety regulations.
The role of a CDL Truck Driver is crucial to our supply chain. It ensures the safe and efficient delivery of products to vendors.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain trucks to meet company standards and compliance with state and federal regulations
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving, and retain fuel/toll receipts
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer
Ensure all freight is secured to prevent damage

As a Truck Driver in the Army National Guard, you are the backbone of military support. By transporting cargo and supplies, you'll play an integral role in keeping the Guard moving forward.
In this role, you will operate all wheeled vehicles and equipment over various terrain and roadways; manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported; employ defense techniques; identify, correct, or report vehicle deficiencies; and prepare vehicles for movement/shipment by air, rail, or vessel.
Job Duties
• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers
• Employ convoy defense techniques
Helpful Skills
• Experience in driver education
• Interest in driving and mechanics
Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career with trucking, moving, or bus companies as a tractor, trailer, heavy truck, or bus driver.
Earn While You Learn
Instead of paying to learn these skills, get paid to train. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.
Job training for a Truck Driver consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which includes practice in driving several types of military vehicles. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
