System Design Architect will support current and upcoming government programs in the design and building of the most modern test equipment for military-grade communications systems. They will be responsible for developing software and hardware solutions to perform functional and diagnostic testing of various communication electronic assemblies, which are critical for supporting our servicemen and women.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis on technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to understand the functionality of the UUT regarding determination of test requirements.
- Develop software to implement previously defined test requirements.
- Perform debug and troubleshooting procedures as required to resolve failure conditions during the development phase.
- Perform software validation and verification testing.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or a related STEM program.
- 10 years of experience with Test and Measurement and Software.
- Proficient in an object-oriented software development language such as C #.
- Must be a US citizen

Overview
A System Architect provides full lifecycle technology support to the business and acts as the senior technical leader on teams.
The role acts as a key bridge between multiple external and internal stakeholders, setting a solution direction and parameters for delivering against.
You will typically be involved in multiple different aspects of a customer lifecycle and the Brightstar Lottery solution deployed, sometimes in parallel across multiple sites. Being able to manage these activities, stakeholders, and customer engagement is a key factor in what makes a System Architect successful.
Working alongside Product Architects and Product Managers you will help Brightstar Lottery identify the right features to build and the best way to deliver them to our customers.
What you will be doing:
System Architecture provides leadership in the following three key areas of our customer lifecycle.

Pre-Sales Support – provide leadership, business understanding and technical expertise to facilitate alignment on a full solution regardless of proposed scope. Lead the technical activities through proposal development, solution costing, and delivery planning.

Systems Delivery – be the owner of the complete solution for customers, providing inputs to the process (technical strategy, gap analysis) and collaborating with teams through the process (product architecture, product management, infrastructure, training).

Account Management Support – act as the go-to person for post-sales customer and account teams in roadmap planning, critical problem solving and architecture solutioning.
What you bring with you:

Technology Expertise – Ability to understand and craft architectures for customer solutions working alongside the product architecture team and other technical SMEs. Broad understanding of solution technologies such as software, data, networks, operations, and cloud platforms. Cloud experience is an advantage.

Business understanding – Ability to grasp the business needs of our customers and arrive at a solution that meets or exceeds these. The ability to bridge the gap between these two domains is a key skill of the system architect.

Management - There are large teams allocated to a delivery project, and although you are not responsible for directly managing a project delivery, you are responsible for ensuring the success of the project through the oversight of the technical leaders assigned to the project. Ultimately, be accountable for the solution quality of a delivery and have a team that executes the delivery on your behalf.

Bachelor’s degree in an IT field or equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a business systems analysis role or as a product owner, managing a complex product or feature within an enterprise

The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
