Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Design Structural Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team in West Austin. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing Structural Systems: Design commercial, municipal, and academic buildings, ensuring safety, functionality, and sustainability using Revit .
- Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to verify that construction is proceeding according to the approved plans and design specifications.
- Project Coordination: Communicate project status regularly with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate directly with project owners to understand their design needs, provide design options, and deliver excellent customer service.
- Support Senior Engineers: Work closely with senior engineers and assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and regulatory compliance.
- Attend Meetings: Participate in project meetings and support the Professional Engineer (PE) as needed, ensuring alignment of project goals and technical accuracy.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a structural engineer, with a focus on building design (commercial, multifamily, retail, residential, municipal, or K-12).
- Proficiency in Revit for building design and modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Must be EIT certified or have the ability to obtain certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
