SUMMARY

The Development Officer is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects and donors to Rochester Regional Health. The Development Officer will effectively manage a major gift pipeline for Rochester Regional Health hospital, clinical departments, community programs and/or service Lines, and ideally raise in excess of $750,000 per year.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute the fundraising plans for one or more areas of the development team, such as: major giving, planned giving, grateful patient philanthropy, corporate giving, etc.
  • Focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects within an assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with foundation colleagues, clinicians, volunteers, and others to develop relationships with prospective donors that lead to gifts.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors to maximize their philanthropic contributions.
  • Consistently utilize Raiser's Edge to document all activities, including written strategies, actions and proposals.
  • Manage activities to ensure achievement of annual metrics for visits, asks and gifts.
  • Work closely with clinical teams and leadership at RRH to align fundraising efforts to maximize impact.
  • Write and assist in the drafting of major gift proposals.
  • Ensure that all fundraising activities with patients are compliant with all state and federal HIPAA privacy regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education.
  • 3 to 5 years sales and/or fundraising experience required.
  • Driver's License.

  • Must be available to support Foundation events that occasionally occur on weeknights and weekends

Under the direction of the VP of Development, the Senior Director of Development serves as a frontline fundraiser responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors for annual, capital, and endowment priorities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 major gift prospects and donors ($1 ,000+) for annual, capital, and endowment support, with an emphasis on high-touch, relationship-centric fundraising.

•Spend at least 75% of the time conducting personal outreach to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects through one-on-one meetings, calls, and written communication.

•Collaborate and partner with Executive Directors and branch program leaders to support major gift level fundraising efforts and donor strategies tied to branch priorities.

•Strategize and partner with the Chief Development Officer and VP of Development to advance high capacity donor relationships across the Association and secure major gift level investments.
